The Democrats are looking at losing huge in the next election. The Republicans are looking to increase the house seats by a huge margin and win almost every Senate race not considered safe. They also look to win alot of governor races. Now with control of both the house and Senate the Democrats will get nothing passed, Nancy Pelosi will be history and Biden will have to be carefull if he does not want to be impeached. (I am against that myself) This of course is not surprising because historically the Democrats were already going to lose but this looks to be a defeat on a massive scale and one that will hurt the Democrats for the next 6 years if not longer. The Republicans at this point even look to win big in Nevada. Here is some videos to show the reality of what is coming thus why the left should be very worried right now. You know it is really bad for the Democrats when Nevada is considered a right leaning state at the moment.
The liberal media will blame new voting laws. AOC will blame the non-progressives. The progressives will blame AOC and friends. However, the democrats will have no one to blame but themselves. I have never seen so many clueless individuals
Yeah probably. It’ll be interesting to see where things go. I’m not looking forward to seeing what happens when a bunch of Republicans lose office and we see a democratic landslide in the future.
I've bolded the words that, it feels like, you are not according their proper weight. You may be in for a real shock
You will have to To wait a while to see that one because that's not what's going to happen this time. And based on what we're seeing now with them having a pretty good degree of it hopefully, for the benefit of all the rest of us we'll never see it.
Why? Is anyone happy with what Democrats are doing at this point? This is just what we need on top of all this inflation a war with Russia! Do we have any military economic experts here at PF? I wonder how many countries in the grip of inflation have ever won a war?
Dude - inflation would have happened no matter who was President - you can't have trillions of dollars of fake money pumped into the economy over the last decade as we have had in the US and Europe, and NOT eventually have an inflationary spiral - it's Econ 101. Now the Party in power always gets the blame - so I wouldn't be surprised if the Dems get hit hard in 2022 - of course, the Republicans will probably get hit hard a few years later - it's a constant back and forth. It's a silly game and why we REALLY, REALLY need a viable third party in this country.
I agree with you - inflation was coming regardless. The question is did Biden's policies make it worse? Beyond that - they have been trying to downplay it repeatedly and they look stupid as a result
You're making the same mistake, failing to consider the groundwork that has already been laid, & the various possible ways that the next 9 months could play out. Impossible to predict, with any certainty, except that things will be different than they are, now. If nothing much has changed, the Dems will lose seats, for sure; but if Dems were able to have no effect in all that time, they'd deserve to lose (even if many of us won't be "deserving," of the mess, that would follow). Things have been moving more slowly than they could, but still progressing. What do you think might occur if, after watching your lawn for a couple of hours in February, you decided that it was growing nowhere, so you didn't check again until October? Or, were you one of those who went to bed on election night in 2020, thinking, "Trump is ahead (at the moment), so that, is that"- only to wake to a turn of events, the next day, that shocked you beyond your belief?
If it happens, I agree. War is almost always stupid. Bush was stupid to get us into two wars and yet he was reelected.
Historically the Republicans were already going to win. The next 9 month's will be tough for the Democrats. I do not see anything changing.
Again, relying predominantly on historical patterns, and not recognizing when a period is "abnormal," means that the predictable, historical pattern, regarding you, is that every time things don't follow the expected pattern, you get caught, flat-footed. I see much opportunity for Democrats to significantly raise their own stock, as well as to sink pro-Republican sentiment. But, as I said, nothing is assured, at this point.
Well that does make sense cuz there's literally nowhere to go but up from here. I suppose they could do worse like oh get us in a war with Russia maybe...?
The polls do not support you. The Democrats would have to significantly increase thier popularity and that is not going to happen. The independents have abandoned Biden. You barely won in the deep blue state of New Jersey and you had almost a million more registered voters. I do not have to go by the historical norms. Nevada is literally leaning to the right in the polls. Do you not see the big shift to the right there? I see nothing that says the Democrats are going to "raise thier own stock" as you put it. You are refusing to accept the reality that is and think somehow 9 months from now everything will be different. Take off the blinders already.
