Interesting how the party of the working man blocks a bill that helps the working man. It should be apparent that the Democrats could care less about the blue collar workers of America. If they did, why would they block a bill that "provide relief to American families who are suffering as a result of the coronavirus outbreak." It seems as though Congressional Democrats care more about hurting Trump than they do about helping their working man constituents. Please remember that when you vote in November. The Democrats threw American families under the bus just to get Trump.

It’s been obvious for a while now Democrats DO NOT care about the taxpaying citizens of this country.
They’re soft on crime, want to take away our guns, and raise taxes. Of coarse they’d block a bill bill helping a taxpayer, but rest assured when and if the illegals need help they’ll be there for them lightning quick!!
I just can’t believe that voters still support that party.

How cute! You really think all of that was for Main Street... :roflol:

    https://www.rawstory.com/2020/03/vi...llion-slush-fund-to-secret-recipients-report/

The White House on Sunday reportedly refused to back down from its demand that a coronavirus relief package include $500 billion, which would be provided to corporations at the discretion of Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.

PBS News Hour correspondent Meredith Lee reported on Sunday that the White House was standing firm on the proposal after some Democrats called it a “slush fund.”

A Democratic source told Igor Bobic that the bill would permit the Treasury secretary to withhold the names of corporate recipients for up to six months.

“Millions may now lose their jobs,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote on Twitter. “And Trump wants our response to be a half-trillion dollar slush fund to boost favored companies and corporate executives – while they continue to pull down huge paychecks and fire their workers.”

    https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/488945-coronavirus-stimulus-talks-hit-setback-as-crisis-deepens

Negotiators at one point had agreed to a tentative deal to provide $250 billion in rebate checks — $1,000 for every adult and $500 for each child — matched by $250 billion in expanded unemployment insurance.

But by Sunday, Republicans reverted to their initial call to mail out $1,200 rebate checks at a total cost of $300 billion.

    Soooo...

Mitch the Bitch only wants $300 billion (that's less than 17% if you're familiar with middle school math) to go to ordinary Americans. I wonder who the other $1.5 trillion is for?

I think it should be split 50/50 between businesses and ordinary Americans. Businesses also employ said Americans, so it wouldn't all go to them really. It would have all the appearances of a good feel bill that way and it could easily be passed.

Republicans want most of that 1.8 trillion to go to the mega corps as always

Democrats want more of it to go to the American people...

I think we should ask the American people what they want

think you meant republicans DO NOT care about the taxpaying citizens of this country, as republicans are the ones holding this bill up because they don't want to give that much to the American people

let dems add to the bill, stop trying to cheat the American people

come on republicans, pass this bill, it should be bipartisan

Maybe they don’t care, I have no idea. But they are a hell of a lot better option than the party that looks out for illegals and criminals more than there own citizens. At least Republicans aren’t wanting to take our guns.

you mean the ones that already got a mega tax cut and never passed it on to their employees

this 1.8 trillion should be for the American people and small businesses, if the right wants a corporate bill, work on that separate

so that is how your justifying republicans not agreeing to help the American people

btw, it was trump that said take the guns without due process

it was Trump that allegedly committed crimes, ie Individual one

Trump that hired illegals at their business and outsourced American jobs

No, I’m not justifying anything, I’ve just realized that there is no point in arguing with any Democrat supporters.

you had no valid argument to defend republicans... so you were... but they tell me the dems are coming for my guns

I am a dem and I believe every free American has the right to own a gun to protect their homes and families, even ex-felons if they have served their time and are free Americans again - it's a constitutional right, just like religion and free speech

The bill has 350B for small businesses and 500B for corporations

Small business employs 65% of the nation's workforce and are CLOSED

The entire Obama Stimulus amounted to 800 billion...spent over four years...ands you folks screamed bloody murder

If it's not enough, they can also always pass another bill when the original funding runs out. Many ways to do politicking things for Democrats not to lose face. This was not the time to make a stand.

I agree with that to, and I get it, you want to argue. I don’t, because I see what Dems are saying: They’re for the working class and they don’t want to take our guns, however... What they DO is: block a bill that’s clearly for the working class, they have given FREE health care to illegals at taxpayers expense, they’ve introduced a law in New York that says “commit crimes and get no jail time”, in California it’s now a right of homeless to camp out in your front yard, and in West Virginia they are now making gun laws tougher on law abiding taxpaying citizens. Do you really think it’s going to slow down or stop there? I see what they do, not what they say.

500 billion to corporations with virtually no oversight is "for the working class?"?

    Yea....right

What did those corporations do with that huge tax cut Trump got them? Hire workers? expand their businesses?

No...they bought back stocks to make themselves richer

Ok, once again, I’m not defending Republicans, I’m just sayin they are a BETTER, not the best option, but the better option at this point.
What’s one good verifiable thing that Democrats have done for the taxpaying citizen?

WTF does “which party is best” have to do with this massive bailout package that was going to be misdirected, unaccounted for and mainly going towards large corporations that we wouldn’t even know where it went for six months?

This “my party is better than yours” is what will end up destroying the nation.

Ditch the party narrative, think for yourself.

The :democrat: are purposely collapsing world markets this morning with their refusal to proceed.

They will forever be known singularly for causing a worldwide depression, and the spread of a deadly disease.

    Despicable. :censored:

And don't you understand that helping corporations helps American people? If these major corporations go under - like airlines - and as a result of a virus that was no fault of their own, the reverberations will be felt throughout the population. Democrats should really learn that there are other ways to help Americans than simply a direct handout.

And P.S. This was all about Nancy exacting her revenge on the Senate Republicans who refused to go along with her impeachment hoax. Too bad that regular working Americans have to pay for her vindictiveness and pettiness.
