    Why do we value diversity?
Because we can't agree on anything.

We have lots of opinions but too many diverse answers.
Many of us want peace, but Democrats like Biden and Clinton want war.

Pretty much everyone knows simplifying the healthcare system to single-payer would save a fortune, but the Democrat Elizabeth Warren claims it will double the cost.

We have all the answers, but the answers don't agree with each other.

Put in a bill to cancel student debt, but do it close enough to the election so not passing can be blamed on the Republicans.

Claim to support low-income workers, but fail to understand how anyone can get through life without a higher degree.

Sign NAFTA and move manufacturing to Mexico, because we don't want those jobs, only Republicans do.
Bring in unskilled immigrants because they don't take middle-class jobs, at least not this decade.

Support action against climate change, and jet all over the world to educate our children.

Claim to be on the left, but advance NATO right up to Russia and fill Ukraine with weapons they use on, mostly Eastern Ukraine.

If you could promise me Universal Health Care means I get the same health care as somebody like Elizabeth Warren gets then I might go for it. Until then please leave me out.

Additional Financing. My plan to pay for Medicare for All identifies $20.5 trillion in new revenue, including an Employer Medicare Contribution, which will cover the long-term, steady-state cost of a fully functioning Medicare for All system.

In the 2020 election E Warren announced that Medicare for All would cost an additional 52 Trillion dollars over ten years.

That made Bernie Sanders look like an idiot and killed the idea dead.

In 2020 I downloaded her stand on Medicare for All and it was very hazy about everything, except that it wouldn't work.

Despite the fact that no other country wastes as much money on healthcare, they all get it to work, so try to think of a reason why we can't.

    It's like climate change.

Is it getting hotter? Not necessarily.

Colder, windier, less windy, raining more, raining less?

No specific complaint really, but we do know it is the fault of the Republicans.

Like all policies, we are great at criticising but have little idea about what to do.

    Except have a nuclear war.

Our President is willing to accept that.

I retired five years ago. Up until my 65th birthday (I was still working then), my coverage through my last employer, after passage of the Affordable Care Act, was $661 per month, with $50 doctor visit co-pays and barely any prescription coverage. Plus, even for that I had to stay "in-network." my total annual costs were upwards of $26,000.

My current costs: $411 per month (Medicare Parts A, B, and D plus a high end supplement). And I can see any provider I want, without a referral. My annual outlay is around $6,500. That a vast improvement, considering that I have more than one chronic condition (diabetes and endless auto-immune disorders.)

Wait. When you go on Medicare, you'll be much happier.

Eisenhower got us into Vietnam and Nixon prevented LBJ from securing a peace deal so that he could become the stronger candidate by promising them a better resolution treasonously undermining LBJ's effort.

The Gulf war occurred under Herbert Walker Bush , and the war in Iraq was by George Bush # 2 who duped Congress into going along with it with phony weapons of mass destruction evidence. The WMD never materialized.

LBJ increased the war in Vietnam; we know this, but he definitely was about to end it before Nixon sabotaged his peace deal. Clinton got us to Bosnia, so war is a bipartisan thing.

Also, I don't recall Elizabeth Warren saying single payer would double the cost--could you find me the quote?

I don't know of any liberals who oppose single payer and who do not believe single payer will reduce the cost.

But if you have single payer you won't have any insurance premiums so it is supposed to be a net savings.

The idea of tolerance is to get the largest possible range of opinions into the Democratic Party, giving a good chance of winning the election.

After winning the election, with such a range of often contradicting opinions, anything could happen.

For example, we Democrats favor helping poor people in this country, and in other countries, so we favor growing enough food to end starvation.

We are also in favor of reducing our carbon footprint, and that means reducing fertilizer production, so we grow less food.

    Simple.

With contradicting aims how do we achieve them?

We don't. We just say we do.

Have you noticed the reports in the media are mostly lies?

Democrats not only do not have the answers, Many Americans Think Democrats Are 'Strange'

According to the Economist, 'the “Democrats tend to overlook how strange voters think they are.” Strange? Is that true? The Party of Whoopi Goldberg, strange? The Party of Harvey Weinstein and Hillary Clinton, strange? The Party of Joe Biden, well, at least unorthodox?'

'he or she, or it, wants to change his, or her, or its, sex and expects the government, at least if Medicare or Medicaid is involved, to pick up the tab for the surgery? Moreover, if he, she, or it, is underage, the Biden administration believes the individual should be allowed to receive “gender affirming” surgical procedures such as mastectomies — from which there is no return — with only limited parental control.'

'leaving our borders open to marauding gangs, lone criminals, people who want to see what it is like on the American side.'

'proclaiming America — the country that most of the world wants to emulate and admires — a failed state?'

'tearing down America’s statues of great figures from the past and of epic achievements, even Founding Fathers such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, and the savior of the Union, Abraham Lincoln?'

'releasing criminals, shoplifters, muggers, sex deviants — all often repeat offenders?'

'declaring whole cities, many of them America’s greatest cities, “sanctuary cities”? Many Democrats would fire their police forces and replace the police with mental health counselors.'

'a centrist Democrat think tank found that the average American voter when asked which party is more extreme answered the Democrats by a significant margin.'

You're right, they don't have the answers.

I was talking with a democrat who explained that we should welcome everyone into the U.S. to share in our wealth.

so... they will have as much as we have... yes.

So we will build them all houses the same as ours... yes.

We will emit as much carbon dioxide making their houses, in say 5 years, as we did in 50 making ours. That's a huge increase in our carbon foot print.

They/we (I'm still officially a democrat), want to make everything for them that we have but without giving off any carbon dioxide...

It's just a wish list that can not be fulfilled, of conflicting requirements.

Nothing but an impossible wish list.

Great for getting into power, but it would be insane to try to do any of it.

What a silly post and cartoon.

You understand that petroleum is a globally traded commodity, don't you? It's not as though American petroleum magically stays in the US. These are private companies and they sell it to whomever. Venezuelan petroleum is also sold to whomever. The thing with petroleum prices is that wherever it comes from, if is sold in quantities to meet demand, the price will drop.

    Please learn basic economics.

It's fascinating how the insurance industry rules the medical industrial complex.
