…"This begs the question, why do they [Democrats] hate democracy," Lee, who is a member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, said on Sunday.

"Why do they hate allowing people to elect their own representatives to make laws? That’s really what we’re dealing with here."

"All they’re saying is Congress has the power if it wants to do things like this to authorize them," he continued.

"Congress hasn’t done that. Congress must do that if it wants the government to act in this way.”
Lee went on to ask, "What is so offensive to them about the idea of having laws enacted by lawmakers who are elected by the people?"

"It’s as though they hate the democratic process itself," he said.

Fox News’ Thomas Catenacci contributed to this report.

Talia Kaplan is a reporter for FoxNews.com.

    T
he Senator is correct. The reporter and writer correctly quoted what he said. Democrats love rule by unelected technocrats acting as tools of their supporting oligarchy. The last thing they want is more power to the people with the middle and working class rabble making decisions on this like abortion, guns, and the economy/environment.

Why do democrats trust faceless technocrat elites to make rules more than the people’s representatives having the ultimate power over interpretation of the law/ regulation?

The court is compromised of hyper
    • Five of the nine that “serve” were nominated by a president that lost the popular vote.
    • Three were nominated by a president that was impeached
    • One holds a seat that was blocked by a single senator from a duly elected president
    • One was rushed through because a political party was about to be completely removed by the people
    • One has shown to be compromised due to the treasonous activity of their wife

This is not democratic, it is tyranny by the minority boarding on fascism

Not one of your points means anything at all. Popular vote is meaningless in President elections except for each state and DC separately. Bush won the popular vote his 2nd term. I know Alito came in his 2nd term. Whether a President was impeached is irrelevant as the senate approves nominees and acquitted him. Appointees when the president and senate majority are of different parties almost never are confirmed in an election year and are almost always approved when both are of the same party. Tradition upheld. To bad so sad. You’ll have to live with it and that it would have been 6-3 democrat if only Hillary didn’t wipe out on her glass ceiling. Lol! Mrs Thomas has done nothing wrong. I feel your pain! NOT!

Dems are becoming radical, the terrorism leftist groups commit is becoming more common. They are genuinely dangerous.

The Supreme Court is excellent, demonstrating it’s loyalty to the constitution, and the left is just angry they never had the votes to get what they wanted. They lost fair and square and have to deal with it lol.

This is not by any rational objective or fair means an opinion article at all. It is a hard news article by a Fox News Reporter reporting upon the words spoken by a United States Senator during an interview. The Senator is not the author of the article but the reported subject of it. Yet again bias against reporting news by a conservative source reporting what a conservative lawmaker said. News reports from conservative sources must be opinion according to some….

becayse when we start talking abou parts per million of tixic chemicals the gs=12 scientists and engineers who study such things are more likely to to know what they are talking about than margie taylor green, gym jordan, and matt goetz., who specialize only in separating donors from their cash.

what is the problem? the agencies are authorized by congress to fill in these details.

EPA was not in this case. Now congress can choose to do just that with any measure that can get through both houses of congress.

the empowerment of unelected judges to tell a coequal branch HOW to do their job (clearly covered in article one under "make their own rules" ) seems a violation of separation of powers and gratuitous "legislation from the bench"

you, me, and the chamber of commerce all know that this crippling of the executive branch agencies leads only to corporate anarchy = the desired goal of the "conservative" movement.

These executive branch agencies need to be crippled unless they are authorized by congress to enforce a law they pass. Government 101. Congress passes laws. The executive enforced them, the courts step in if those procedures are not followed to the letter per the constitution unless you want to overturn Marburg vs Madison

every agency is authorized by congress. if not, no funds. if you want to kill the epa, congress needs to leave it out of next year's appropriations but they won't, because we, the people, know that their job is important.

Correct that it is Tyranny of the Minority -- but for none of the reasons you mention ..

:"This is not Democratic" -- This comment makes no sense - contradicting your tyranny of the Minority if we include Simple Majority Mandate as "democratic --- and in full raging contradiction of any "Tyranny of the Majority" claim.

The court has been compromized for a long long time mate .. engaging in both Tyranny of the Minority and Tyranny of the Majority .. Every sitting member of SCOTUS should be removed - dereliction of duty - failure to interpret law and the constitution as per the founding principle and rules of Constitutional republic. Violating the most basic principle on which this nation was founded .. so far down the slippery slope .. the mountain top no longer visible up in the clouds.

And Republicans trust faceless, unelected corporate CEOs and Big Oil board members to rule society
more than elected officials. So, whatever.

    Meaningless

    You mean exonerated

Prerogative of the Senate in power

Meaningless But we did notice the last one rushed through that doesn't know the definition of a woman.

You mean the one who Democrats labeled as an Uncle Tom because he wasn't a black Democrat, tried desperately to stop his confirmation with false propaganda, and hate his wife for not supporting Democrats. I wonder why she hates Democrats so much/ Hmmmmm

Everything democrats fail at happens to be fascism over and over. lol

You might want to check how Justices can now be confirmed with only 51 votes brought to you by the idiot Democrats who couldn't get their judges confirmed.

Its tough being a Democrat today. Loss after loss is really making things a lot more difficult.

Congress has to authorize the EPA in each and every separate action it takes. It EPA has no carte Blanche to do whatever it wants once congress created it.

I don't! And I also wasn't ignorant enough to cast a vote for this tool because I "just cast my vote for a retard" because I hated the other guy..

See where leftist blind hatred has gotten us? Ya, I'll take the worst the GOP can put in office over this sort of emotional decision making nonsense :)

Unemployment is better than when Trump left office.
Gas prices have spiked - but they did in Trump's second year also.
Trump left office with the lowest GDP of any modern President.

I'm not going to pretend that Biden is a good President - but the bar was so low after the last one ...

Crippling of the Executive branch? They're not even supposed to be making laws in the first place. Thier job is to enforce laws. Not make them. Civics 101. Crap we learned in 3rd grade.

You do know that is a graph of growth....right?

Additionally, we still have less people employed than when Trump was in office before things were shut down due to a virus.
