    2008 was a beat down.

2016 was one revolting candidate barely defeating another.

You think the Democrats are done? Then obviously you don't know how politics work in this country.

Nowhere did I say the Dems are done. But you seem to think they're in control now, far from it. That's the arrogance seeping out again.

When will you people ,by people I mean leftist, learn that this election wasn't about parties? As a Republican I can honestly say I'm more mad at Republicans than I ever was at Democrats. We know who Democrats are. Congressional Republicans funded everything Obama put in front of them. If this election was about parties Wi, Mi, Pa, Oh and Fl would have given Hildi the win.

when did I say that? They definitely aren't in control now. The GOP runs the show, and all eyes are on them. You better pray they don't screw up, or it's 2008 all over again.

What. You'll run the first Latino transgender? How about finding some bona fide politicians who can unite America instead of trying to be hip. I'd say the same for Republicans but they're not even remotely hip.

California seceding from the United States over Trump would be a 'Result!' in the book of any true patriot. We can only hope. What if California seceded, and nobody cared . . . or even noticed?

Democrats aren't done-they are just set back decades.

Time to wander around the political wilderness for a while.

The Democratic Party Political Brand name is fatally corrupted. It will whither and die, which is a very deserved fate for those who accept such corruption.

But American NEEDS a SLIGHTLY left of center working man's political party.

I am sure one will spring up to fill the void created by the Hillary-Induced suicide of the Democratic Party.

It would be wise for the Conservatives and Right to encourage and nuture the rise of that new Working People's Party, to insure it is one founded on:

    Honor
    Honesty
    Integrity
    Racial/Gender/Orientation Blindness
    Pro-American Patriotism
    Pro-Capitalistic Economic Policy
    Reasoned and Pragmatic Enviromentalism
    Political Cooperation and Comprimise

    and above all, ...

    Respect for the Rule-of-Law!

There must be viable choices in the 2020 election.

American MUST HAVE a Working People's Political Party.

Actually, the conservatives were Democrats during the slave days. These were the so-called "Dixiecrats" who migrated to the GOP when the Democrats decided to fight for civil rights in the 1960s.

Oh, and Lincoln was a liberal.

Not sure what you are talking about, but if Trump screws up as bad as Dubya did...then it doesn't matter who the Dems run because they'll end up back in power regardless.

Ok, but that's only a half-truth. Opposition to the bill came primarily from Southern lawmakers, who were Democrats, but in the mid-1960s all Democrats outside of the South supported civil rights. In fact, Northern Democrats backed the Civil Rights Act by a margin even larger than that of Republicans--141 for, just 4 against--while Southern Democrats were 92 against and 11 for.

So it was actually a matter of Southern conservatives versus Northern liberals.

Haven't you learned by now that facts have a liberal bias?

This is a disney channel understanding of things.

The fact is the democrat party, north and sound were pro slavery-even if only a small percentage (all democrat) owned slaves.

You don't know your history, only the liberal narrative you mistake as history.

Oh, if Lincoln was a liberal does that mean you support suspending habeas corpus?

Your boy (can I say that) Obama didn't fair much better than Dubya. His health care law alone is ruinous to the fabric of this country.

Like major civil war that kills hundreds of thousands and maims countless more and destroy economies in order to prevent regions from choosing their own political associations? You're right, you collectivists will justify mass murder if it suits your ends.
