This doesn't sound very sanctuaryish to me. Denver says they would welcome and protect illegals, but now that they got what they wanted, the city is telling them to leave or they'll continue to suffer.

I would bet a lot of money some of these illegals have been arrested for committing crimes, so I would like to know how many of those illegals were held and reported to ICE because that would tell the illegals who are up to no good to go somewhere else.

With the exception of border towns and cities, it's mostly democrat inner states that are doing all the complaining about illegals. And still, after nearly a year, Schumer won't bring HR2 up for a vote.

Like many other policies, its just not sustainable. Eventually, it reaches a tipping point.

I am glad liberals have started to move more in this direction as it is one of the areas I strongly disagreed with as does the general public.

If democrats move more to a pro-legal anti-illegal immigration position then Republicans will lose pretty much half their current platform.

I applaud Republicans holding their feet to the fire

Except we have no idea if these people are even here illegally. A RW blog saying so, doesn’t make it true

That's true, immigration is the wind beneath the GOP's electoral wings. However I just don't see the administration smartening up, even if it's just enough to get past the election. They simply can't reverse those Biden open border EO's.

Sanctuary cities like Denver are in a different situation; they're running out of money handling this self made onslaught.

It wouldn’t matter if they were a sanctuary city or not. They’re either pending deportation or waiting for an asylum hearing. They didn’t just all sneak in and walk to Denver.

Accurate — actually it probably makes it less so.

Our amnesty system also needs a massive overhaul however

Oh I doubt the Biden admin will change their stance but liberals in general may.

Perhaps, but then the issue isn’t illegal immigration

    If said illegal immigrants have skills, then they should be bussed to Canada, and here’s why;

23 Annual Report to Parliament on Immigration

“Over 437,000 new permanent residents, along with over 604,000 temporary workers were admitted to fill job vacancies in health care, the trades, and the technology sector, and help rebalance our country’s aging population”

    Immigration, refugees and Citizenship Canada

Well they are in areas in which they are effected, and I'm sure in cities like New York and Chicago (not to mention Denver) these are hot contentious issues, but none of those areas are going to go red because of this. They'll simply take down their "In this house we believe no human is illegal" signs but still vote blue.

I vote blue because I don’t see another option.
While immigration and crime are two areas I wish the left was more focused on in terms of solutions, I don’t see many solutions coming from the right on these issues either. It’s mostly rhetoric and when they have the option to implement policies to address these issues they choose to do nothing.

You will find many more moderate voters are in the same position. The duopoly is destroying this nation

The worst part about it is that anyone with a f'ing brain knew how this would turn out. The left wanted that census data so they could redistrict funds and even pick up house seats, hope it's worth it now.

Practically speaking the Trump EO's on immigration versus Biden's EO's repealing them provide a pretty good metric of "solutions coming from the right."

You got to love when people get exactly what they want and then complain about it when it happens.

You voted for it so enjoy it. You wouldn't want to be one of those xenophobic anti-immigration people would you?

Which orders did Biden rescind that you think would help now?

No official in Denver is planning on bussing Latinos to another country.

If the House had not been revised and capped Democrats would have way more House votes than they do currently even with immigrants.

So if you want to speak on the House being manipulated let’s do so with all of the variables.

The EO’s that were mostly struck down by various courts?

It’s almost like this is a congressional issue and not something that the president should try to rule on against the limitations of their office.

If your stance is you would want them to do something even if it’s found unconstitutional then I will have to disagree

I normally would encourage them getting what they deserve but I don't think Colorado is a sanctuary city.
