For me, definitely DeSantis, I think this was the best thing that has happened to him in a long time.
I didn't watch it, but I read that Newsome said that neither of them will be on the ballot in 2024, and he is right. DeSantis needs to learn from his mistakes, and maybe run for Congress or Senate and from there try again in maybe 12 years. He is young, so he will have more chances, but this is not his time. He overplayed the "war on woke" card (made it top, and only priority) and came across as an authoritarian jerk, and people are not amused.
I tend to agree about DeSantis; the man needs seasoning before he's ready. I don't think Newsome could carry California, don't think he'd be the democratic choice unless it was an emergency grab to put ................ someone ......... up.
