The school I went was actually far more tolerant of it up until about 2-3 years before I became a freshman. The stories I've heard are pretty similar to yours...people smoking blunts in their common rooms was natural apparently and Campus Safety would only come in to tell freshmen to leave. Cocaine also used to be a HUGE deal there, but by the time I got to the school it had begun acquiring a slightly better reputation and as a result they started cracking down on drug use a lot more. The reason I stopped was mainly because I eventually became so paranoid whenever I was high...I would always make it a mission to not see anyone I knew whenever I went back to my apartment...and it never failed that I would ALWAYS run into someone I knew and they would instantly know I was high lol.
Peyote is the nastiest stuff I ever took! We took it by mixing powdered peyote in a glass with tomato juice and drinking it - I'd rather have drank bong water with a dog turd or two in it! I liked the buzz I got off it though, but as I remember it made me feel invincible - almost to the point of being cocky. So, mainly I just stuck to pot - maybe with a little hash in it now and then, but mainly plain ol' weed.
why would anyone cut acid with strychnine when you can just dilute it with water? It doesn't make any sense.
Back in the day (early 1970's) we were told that LSD would often have strychnine mixed in with it - especially "blotter" acid. This was supposedly done because a small amount of strychnine would enhance the visual effects of LSD - make the colors more intense, tracers, things of that nature. However, unscrupulous people would often unknowingly add too much strychnine to the mix, causing poisoning. Or, they wouldn't use pure chemical-grade strychnine, they'd use rat poison instead. LSD and marijuana were bad for us little children. Marlboro cigarettes and Budweiser weren't. (or so we were told)
They were bull(*)(*)(*)(*) stories that the police and media spread around to warn us young and impressionable youth of the dangers of drugs. If we took LSD, we'd commit suicide like Art Linkletter's daughter, stare at the sun and go blind, completely flip out and be locked away in an asylum for the rest of our lives - any number of truly bad and horrible things would happen to us!
Well, if you want to start talking hardcore, my perfect trip was always an eighth of mushrooms, 2 or 3 pills of MDMA, as much weed as I could get, and when that starts losing its effect, start bumping a little K or smoke a dust-dipped cigarette.
I was just disagreeing with the all or nothing comment. Acid has levels, eating a little gives one experience, a little more is a completely different experience, a lot more apparently makes you delirious. I was never into mixing things, I was always happy with one experience at a time. Not including pot. I used to hate drinking when I ate acid. I don't drink often, and have a real low tolerance, but I can't feel the effects of alcohol when im tripping. So I just keep drinking, and then when the acid wears off the alcohol would hit me like a ton of bricks. Not pleasant. I used to love X and K, but the last time I did either, I did too much, and it made me never wanna do it again. I dont trip anymore either. That wasn't even a conscious decision. I remember one day realizing i hadn't tripped in a long time, and just didn't have the interest anymore. It's been about two years now. I might eat some blotter under the right circumstances, but I'm not gonna plan for it.
I started smoking ganga when I was a student at Occidental College. I transferred to Columbia University and smoked five blunts a day. I was accepted to Harvard Law School and increased my intake to six. I moved to Chicago and started to organize the community. Blunts be me. Got elected to the Illinois Senate and voted present. Got elected to the US Senate and started smoking ten blunts a day. My mojo kicked into overdrive and I started thinking maybe a middle class kid from Hawaii could grow up to be President of all 57 states of the US of A. The rest is history. Oh, btw, I started smoking cigarettes too.
Yep , that was one heck of a buzz .... I been there ,,, seen sound and heard colors ... you ever see a floating rainbow that laughed before ? ? ? Panamanian Red-bud laced with opium ... one heck of a magic carpet ride.
Hey Jedi , good to see you ... I've not 'absorbed' in years , but to me , reefer is like freeze dried beer ... I've always thought it ought to be legal , and let people make their own choices about it .. but that's just me.. Yep , doing ok , hope you are as well ...
I smoked a little last year for the first time. I was very drunk and told my bf I'd always wanted to try pot at least once. He went and got some of his mom's stash, just cheap mersh, and we got high together. Tried again a week later without being drunk. It's alright I guess. Just makes me feel ridiculously sleepy and lazy. That's the extent of how wild 'n crazy I can get. lol
Yeah, alcohol makes me tired sometimes. It depends on how drunk I get though. If I am mildly drunk I sorta get into a party/dance mood. If I am really drunk I just want to lay down and crash.
The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Like Nas said, the harshest realities of life will hit you after you smoke. You will see things for what they are, and not what they appear to be. You will see that all the dots are actually connected. Or so I've heard.
it helps the day go by faster especially if you have no responsibilities... but many businessmen say they need it after a stressful day at work because it does help them relax.
Sounds more like paranoia. Experienced smokers just ignore that particular side effect. Smoking can significantly lower blood sugar (cause of the 'munchies') so if one has blood sugar issues...go easy or don't do it. A quick lowering of blood sugar can exacerbate paranoia as well.
I smoked two blunts before I addressed the UN General Assembly yesterday. God I love this job. Secret Service rolling blunts for me. Flying around the world smoking blunts. It's going to be hard when my term is over. I'll have to go back to Chicago and roll my own blunts.
