IN a preview of the bullcrap we can all prepare to hear in the upcoming week(s), as the credit donwgrade soaks in, Obama White House spokesman, David Axelrod laughably tries to blame the "Tea Party", on "Face the Nation, this AM :

    http://news.yahoo.com/white-house-adviser-blames-tea-party-downgrade-155220470.html

Hilarious how the ONLY PEOPLE serious about cutting spending, are to blame for the predicited, warned, and natural result of two+years of total Spendocrat control, following two+ years of Spendocrat Congressional control, and the subsequent INSANE SPENDING, isn't it?

What happened to "the buck stops here", Mr.Obama?

What is even MORE telling, besides the Leftninny reporter's glaringly edited account of the story, is the responses of the general public on the "comments" section, at the bottom of the page; CHECK OUT THEM APPLES, to see how Americans are buying the desperate attempt to blame the crisis THEY CREATED, with THEIR INSANE SPENDING, on the only people standing against them....VEEEEEERY revealing.

The sampling of everyday Americans' view of the matter is the Death Knell for the Debtocrats..and they KNOW IT, hence the Big Spin Machine. Wait until The CHosen One's poll numbers tank even further, it'll get UGLY OUT THERE!

2012 is COMING, Spendcrats, and you aren't going to like it...

Well, it seems he has a point.

Unwillingness to pay our debt, as the "tea party" members in Congress seemed intent on doing, will lessen confidence in our willingness to pay our debt.

Seems to me the "tea party" folks deserves a steaming shovel full of blame.

    Liberals / Democrats,

THE U.S. CONGRESS DID NOT MAKE ANY SIGNIFICANT CUTS.

The TEA Party wanted real cuts off the current budget which would be frozen, not of the baseline increases which is what happened. The TEA Party DID NOT get the deal it wanted.

With this deal that was all about the Democrats and the establishment Republicans which most TEA Party members VOTED AGAINST we have the following result.

The U.S. DEBT will be $25 TRILLION in a decades time.

I hope these facts are getting through to you liberals.

The TEA Party wanted a 1% cut off the current budget and for it to be frozen. Then each year an additional 1% cut would be made. In 8 short years we would have a balanced budget and be able to pay down the debt. Had we done that, we would have maintained our top rating.

    But...

BARACK OBAMA AND THE DEMOCRATS REFUSED TO MAKE REAL CUTS.

    So now the country gets....

Really? What "real cuts" did they propose? I would love to hear about these fictional things, these supposed cuts they wanted. Enlighten us all.

C'mon DG. Let's see you try to support your statement with some fact.

The debt ceiling increase is historically a routine matter...then the t-party broke in shot up the place and took hostages.

If the t-party doesn't want to accept the blame for situations that they create, then they should stop shooting hostages...

Right; we lived beyond our means, and it's the boss'es fault, for not paying us enough?

Please LINK to the alleged "S & P" story you cite.

Then read the comments at the bottom of the article I linked to in the OP; the Americans are NOT BUYING the "spin".

The t-party wanted cuts so much that they helped pass a double digit increase to the Pentagon even as they were screaming for blood to be squeezed from starving children.

    Try reading for once TFM

These have been around for quite a while.

Only the looney left would ignore tha fact the S&P said the debt is the issue then claim the people who wanted to cut the deficit the most are to blame.

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0411/52529.html

The Republican budget is expected to include several major proposals: reduction of the corporate tax rate to 25 percent; elimination of corporate tax loopholes; spending cuts with enforceable caps; reforms to “save critical health and retirement programs”; health reform that “repeals and defunds the president’s health care law”; and a promise to restore “America’s exceptional promise,” according to GOP aides, lawmakers and a draft summary of the budget.

Ryan will roll out a blueprint Tuesday that could slash up to $6 trillion in the next 10 years from spending, reforms and cuts entitlements, and overhauls sections of the tax code

But since your boys refuse to look at cutting entitlements it is your side that is to blame.

I'm sorry. I missed the part where th3e4 tea party folks said they didn't want to pay their debts. In fact, i thought they were quite intent on paying the debt with money saved by spending less. Not just reducing the rate of increase like the spending-addicted Democrats want.

So, where's the part where the conservatives wanted to default on the debt?

The insane spending is what "created" the situation, not seeking SPENDING CUTS, which was the NEED for the LARGEST DEBT CEILING INCREASE IN HISTORY.

    Enjoy your trip down "denial"....

the mainstream media should be ashamed for even allowing that type of spin on their shows. Could they be any more obvious about being in the tank?

Good Americans will come out in droves to stop this liberal nonsense. We'll see you in 2012 when we finish our good work.

And comments at the bottom of the article mean something now?

He's correct though. The Tea Party supporters exposed what US Congress has really become: a Ship of Fools, and they are captain for sure.

Democrats and delusional Keynesians looked at a flat lined economy that was not generating anywhere near the revenue needed to cover any spending increases...and rolled the dice...

promptly spending a trillion dollars on 'stimulus', taking over GM, bailing out state government union jobs, Fannie/Freddie and a host of others, wasting billions on Cash for Clunkers, increased welfare spending, extended unemployment benefits, etc, etc...

while focusing the majority of their entire first year with the keys...

saddling American taxpayers and job creators with Obamacare and the certainty that their spending spree was going to hafta be repaid....by them (us)

And now have the unmitigated (*)(*)(*)(*)ing gall to blame the only people trying to save the nation from insolvency.

It's time these frauds were shown the door....forever.

I think one of the biggest reasons we had our credit downgraded was just after we made these "Hard cuts" that really did not amount to anything and did not cut our deficit at all.

Our great and wonderful follower of a leader of ours goes out and makes a speech how we will be spending more money on things such as unemployment.

The TEA Party refused to make large enough essential cuts to the debt? That's a new one on me.

Bwahahahahaha! Oh (*)(*)(*)(*) that is awesome! Who gave you that nugget?

Thank you for the unintentional laugh of the day. Over a trillion in the deficit this year and they were going to pay our debts with spending cuts.

I swear, if I was not a teetotaler, I would want what the tea party fluffers are smoking.

The other 2% was an additional $2 trillion in cuts necessary to avoid the downgrade.

Todd, don't lob facts in to the pro tea party argument. It might make their lobotomized heads explode.

Spending cuts cover our immediate debt payments and we will keep our credit rating so high while we so narrowly avoid complete financial meltdown. i know this because some mindless right winger said so in an email I got.
