Last month, a freshman student at Atherton High School in Louisville, Kentucky, asked the school’s principal if he could use the girls’ restroom and locker room. The student claimed to be transgender and said he identified as a girl, even though he reportedly has a girlfriend. ..........................

According to reports, the high school’s principal, Thomas Aberli, granted the student’s request. This decision prompted complaints from several parents and students who were concerned about a male student using the girls’ facilities.

In spite of the complaints, Aberli defended his decision, saying “everyone deserves to be treated with respect.”

Naturally I disagree with this position. Either the lad has a serious mental illness or is gaming the system. Neither should be handled by acquiescence. What also bothers me is the statement from the principal about "treated with respect"

how is he respecting the females who now are forced to have a boy in their restrooms or locker rooms?

I really would like an answer to that question

IMO, this is what we have done to ourselves by sitting idly by and not fighting against liberal policies within schools when we first saw them. We actually thought that educators had the best interest of our children at heart. We have now seen that to be false.

 

This all started when the Vietnam War ended and drug addicted hippies stopped holding naked love-in's and decided to become public school educators instead.

 

It actually started before then. We partnered up with International Marxism during WWII and we did nothing to stop its advancement into the West afterward. Basically what is happening to our society is what Hitler wanted to prevent in Germany. He saw it coming. It's too bad we made the decision to disregard 100% of his ideas as nonsense. He was right about this one.

Sooner or later someone was going to game this system. I hope some girls parents sue the school, and it costs them a fortune. Seems to be the only way to do away with nonsense today. Deviant crap like this has no business in the school systems.

 

The one thing he did that I find admirable was to identify the real enemy we face, which is International Marxism. Nobody else really did that. We allowed it to enter the West and with very few exceptions (McCarthy being the most notable), we did nothing to stop it. Now it's everywhere and rots the West from within. Conservatives complain about the symptoms of this disease (this topic being one of them), but they often don't see the cause.

What does having a girlfriend have to do with it? Are girls with girlfriends made to use the boys' facilities? If he had a boyfriend, would it be OK for him to use the girls' facilities?

Gender and sexuality are two different things. Without understanding such basic concepts you're not going to be able to engage in any kind of reasonable discussion about this kind of situation.

 

Bathrooms are segregated by Gender....not sexuality and other nonsense.

No, I see that issue but it isn't a new issue. Because we separate facilities by gender, we've always had people sharing facilities with people who might find them sexually attractive.

If this was a transgender boy who didn't have a girlfriend, there would still be complaints. If it was a transgender boy who had a boyfriend, there would be complaints (regardless of which facilities he was using!). I'm not denying that there is an issue here, only that it is as simple an issue as some people who like to imagine.

Glad to see you part ways on that. I find it hilarious how the Left defends things like this using the same pro gay argument of "how is this hurting you?" But in this case, parents are outraged that their daughters are being made to share the restroom with boys, so yes, it really is hurting people. This isn't to-each-their-own, this is a deliberate imposition of insanity, perversion, and mental illness on innocent school girls. BTW, this is going to keep happening, especially because the People's Republik of Kalifornia made this legal.

 

But what are transgender people supposed to do when they have to go to the bathroom? If they use the men's restroom like many people want them to, they'll most likely get beaten up, but if they use the bathroom aligned with their gender, they'll cause problems like the one described in the OP. I don't see any way this problem can be solved without a large group of people getting offended.

 

Unless they're groping other boys in the bathroom, I highly doubt they're going to get beaten up. Your argument is getting desperate.

 

Transgender is a very, very small group. Better to let them be offended then everyone else. They can use what their anatomy says to use....like everyone else has to.

 

common sense would of said the school should of asked for proof from a medical professional, and one could just look at someone to tell if they were transgender, did he dress like a girl? act like a girl?

easy solution for these one offs, offer separate shower stalls for those that want them...
