We raised a NATO trained and equipped army of 680,000 in Ukraine
with shoulder launched Javelin anti armor weapons and M777 155mm mobile
howitzers with GPS aiming, and a multitude of other weapons

which, if you believe the news, cremated the Russian army a quarter
of it's size equipped with old soviet era weapons, poor training and
discipline, incompetent leaders and even worse moral.

One claim being put around is that IF the Ukrainian Army had been bigger
and had more weapons, then the Russians would not have dared attack.

    But what do you think?

Personally... I think that some highly unethical people in places of power have been setting up Russia to attack the Ukraine for a long time......
which is why they put so many biological weapons research facilities in the Ukraine......
it was known that eventually they could leak certain information and pressure Putin into an unwise action......
    .....
but this will eventually turn out to be positive and will lead to Sleepy Joe being impeached or indicted.....
    ......
    surely this must happen soon!!!!????

Will the war in the Ukraine lead to the exposure of Hunter Biden and then....

I recall the figure of 680,000 for the size of the Ukrainian Army regular forces in 2022,
which is in line with the current figure of 1,000,000 (wikipedia)

and 175,000 for the 'invading' Russian forces, given by Joe Biden:

[President Biden Holds a Press Conference Feb 24th]

    "Sorry to keep you waiting

The Russian military has begun a brutal assault on the people of Ukraine without provocation,
without justification, without necessity. This is a premeditated attack Vladimir Putin has been
planning this for months as I've been saying all along. He moved more than 175,000 troops,
military equipment into positions along the Ukrainian border. He moved blood supplies into
position and built a field hospital which tells you all you need to know about his intentions all along..."

Today Russia is getting weaponry from Iran, N. Korea, and China with no push back.

The war has been building up step-by-step.

Russia built up forces on the border before sending them in, to show it really meant business,
that bombarding Donbass and moving NATO weapons into Ukraine would evoke a response.
And the US made it clear NATO weapons included missiles which could be repurposed for
    nuclear warheads.

We increased bombardment of Donetsk in particular from Feb 19th, and Russia moved military
units in on Feb 24th, taking out as many artillery positions as possible. As the US sends
longer ranged weapons that will force Russia to take more territory to get the weapons far
enough from the targets. Some of our weapons have longer ranges but sufficient distance
will prevent a lot of the weapons from doing their work, and a longer distance can help with
shooting some down. Meanwhile, the US continues to be invaded.

    None of the above.

Putin is a dictator. Dictators do things like invade other countries. Why are we pretending like Putin is a reasonable person? He's not. He's an old sick man worried about his legacy.

Obama Biden admin though Newland were all up and in on the Median revolution. Russia leaked that Newland phone call as a precursor to say "see? you are directly affecting Ukrainian politics".

We had no business being involved while they were trying to figure their **** out. From Russia's POV, It was very evident that we were trying to put in a pro west, Russia last leadership to forge trade and relations that would not have favored Russia at all.

True, and Russia and Ukraine were negotiating their differences and reaching reasonable compromises.
Then the US sent over lots of weapons to Kyiv sometime in mid 2021, reaching the front lines
in early Feb 2022, and turned the discussions into a war.

    Tough Talk nailed it.
