did you ever opened the case of your laptop?

    My guess is it depends on the laptop. I have taken a laptop apart before to replace a hard drive.

    Well, yeah. If the fan is on the inside, one has to do a bit of work to get to it.

    I never have, I take it back to the shop annually. It's only $30 and saves me a lot of hassle. I realize they may just be doing nothing but it seems not to hurt it and I feel better

    Spending money to actually do nothing, but only to make people feel better, sounds familiar. Are you an elected official, by any chance?

    You are not smart.
    The problem is that, at least 25% people do more harm than good when they clean the fan of their laptops.
    My question is that are you smart enough to do it by uself.
    It is like fix your car by yourself.
