We don't have a free market health care available we have a RIGGED health care market wherein insurers geographically split up the country amongst each other so as not to have true marketplace competition with each other.

No, ride share only exists because people are ignorant. Uber started in 2010 as a black car livery service for $5/mile. In Jan 2012 Uber X started and the price was $2.25/mile. Over the next 3 years as more people joined to drive for Uber the rates plummeted. In June 2012 Uber X rates dropped from $2.25 to $1.35 per mile. Uber wanted to see how low idiots would still drive for. In Detroit the price went down to as low as .30/mile before climbing back up to .70/mile. I must admit that many Americans are rationally challenged.

I don't believe a bill to do that has any chance of passing congress.

Neither part would propose or support that.

Uber isn't "suckering the dupes, and rakin' in fat stacks", they're trying to make a shaky business model work.

The price went down to chicken feed in Detroit, because Detroit is a leftist-destroyed hellhole, and there's no money to be made, so there's no money to be paid. A business adjusts to whatever market it's in, or it dies.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Uber currently loses money on every ride. The price-per-mile fluctuation was a matter of Uber adjusting rates to try and find a "sweet spot" balance of supply/demand/profitability. They still haven't found it yet.

I have to disagree with you about suckering the dupes, but totally agree on not takin’ in fat stacks. I don’t think Uber will ever be profitable because of the 70 Federal lawsuits and the over 1,000 civil lawsuits that Uber is facing right now. I also heard that James River, Uber and Lyft’s liability insurance is dropping them come end of the year. Something about a $54 million lose in the 3rd quarter last year.

    Uber's never-ending stream of lawsuits

    By Heather Kelly

Since its launch in 2009, Uber has been juggling a nonstop barrage of lawsuits from governments, drivers, passengers and competitors. Some have been settled out of court while others have dragged on indeterminably.

In the U.S., there are more than 70 pending federal suits against the company and many more in state courts. There are also battles taking places in governments and courts around the world.

Don’t forget bubonic, typhoid and hepatitis outbreaks, similar to 3rd world countries.

Sure. Look at what has happened to retirement plans. It's all 401Ks at best now.
Same with insurance. More and more of the cost falls on the employee.

    No.

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/727847/homelessness-rate-in-the-us-by-state/

And, notice that DC is worse by a LOT. And, unlike states, DC is directly ruled by congress with zero representation.

Lack of representation is a very serious issue.

It's WHY we had a revolution!!!

THIS is why a very early congress ceded back to Virginia the portion of DC that had belonged to that state.

By making it clear that you have nothing, I might have guessed you would point to something you have!!! Something worthy of discussion.

    But, no.

There has been a very similar question asked for decades by my car insurance company: "Is this vehicle used for work or business". Seems the new question wouldn't be needed.

This is good for you if you are a regular worker who do have talent or other skills to spare, then this a good extra income source.

Yes. Not being forced to participate in the health insurance scam is very important to me as a voter. I will be voting against being forced into it, for sure.

    No, it doesn't.

Having a "Class A teaching certification" isn't a requirement to be a teacher.

    Period T.

    https://www.teachercertificationdegrees.com/certification/alabama/

How to Become a Teacher in Alabama
Teaching in a K-12 public school and in many private K-12 schools requires active Alabama educator certification. To earn certification through the traditional route, prospective teachers must earn a bachelor’s degree that includes a state-approved educator preparation program and pass the state’s exams for prospective educators.

    True.

That's the root of the case Idaho just got through losing at the SC.

They had passed a law to allow arresting people sleeping on the street even when there are no beds available.
