I believe that there is a higher being who created the universe. I believe that he, she or something beyond our understanding, gave us intelligence to make the world good or bad. The good has mostly been written in the Bible and other holly books. The choice to be bad is ours to make.

If we want a good world, with peace and prosperity, the means to do so are available to us. If evil triumphs, we will have failed. I think that Thomas Jefferson had it right with his deist philosophy. There might well be times when God intervenes for good, but a lot of the decisions are up to mankind.

I think it would be fair to say God wants people not to murder and steal. I dunno about the koran or gita, but I know the only versions of the new testament of the Bible that say 'thou shalt not kill' were edits at the behest of authoritarian govts who sought a pacified, domesticated and dependent populace, afraid to use violence to defend themselves from violence (especially that of the 'authorities') for fear of eternal damnation.

The proscriptions are for the benefit of humans, not for their creator.

it is written in the gita that krishna helped the war leader arjuna
it is written in the Koran that one must believe in Allah
God does not want us to kill, and we will not
atheists will not be killed either, because there are few of them

Better take another look at what is written in the Quran ("Koran").

And although every major religion in the world has had periods in the far-distant past that included harsh treatment and even death for people of different faiths, today only one of the world's major religions still commands its true-believers to take a militant, uncompromising attitude towards those it considers to be "infidels". Guess which one.... :confusion:

From the pages of its holy scriptures: https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/violence.aspx

IF.... elected officials and bureaucrats in Ottawa and Washington were not significantly deceived by Richard Dawkins Ph. D. and other Atheist writers......
then there would within days be an increase in general honesty at all levels of government.... .and bureaucracies......
and there would be a rapid drop in violent crimes.

Near death experience accounts are slowly but surely transforming the world one person at the time.

If a question defines it's answer then it isn't even worth asking.

To be useful to a person, the question should require some thought,
    recollection, or even some research.
