Well that doesn't mean you aren't living in America! Lots of people come here to work and/or live. Anyways, why do they make you put them down instead of a vet who can just give them a shot and then they go to sleep? How do you put them down over there?
Fair point! Because like I said - nobody else is responsible for the dog other than its handler. I've only had a couple of cats put down, so probably the same as over there - vet calls, administers injection, and removal is an optional extra if required.
Even in healthcare there are different tasks relevant to duty, I have always helped out however, no one really likes mortuary related tasks, I usually ended up with that task. It is sad when you realize the finality of vanity etc.... I have always taken My pets to some secluded little area, undisturbed by plows, I can't abide the idea of someone else handling my pet. Patrick is over 10 years old now, and he is as fit as a puppy.
