    Actually, Breitbart is manipulating things a bit. According to the headline, Trump "demanded" China pay, but the actual words of Trump are a suggestion, not a demand. And his opinions about a leak are still nothing more that opinions. No actual proof is being offered.

    Cutting off China would be costly but not impossible. It cannot happen voluntarily. "Making a stand with your wallet" is a valiant principle, but that principle does not translate to action in a free market on a global scale. Government action would be required, and to be effective it would have to be drastic. We'd see the world divide between democracy and autocracy as it did with the West and the USSR after WWII. It would be painful. We'd have to learn to live with less. In a previous post, I said such a cold war is inevitable. Now I'm thinking, no way. Lol.

    Agreed. I don't know how it would be strong enough to cause a dent. I mean, we can't get people onboard with wearing a mask and social distancing and we're hoping they will response to a rally cry to boycott "Made in China" garbage? I'm hopeful, by nature, but there's not an ounce of hope this could be pulled off to the level needed for them to feel its impact.

    Why did he not do this at the end of January, like the leader of SK did there?

    Same question holds for mask and PPE gear.

    Had he done so maybe our front line healthcare workers would not have been forced to wear the same N95 for multiple days

    Could be because China withheld info and things evolved. Also, SK probably makes our masks since progressive globalism chased off all of our mask manufacturers except one.
