Oh, where the GOP Senate fails to act, Trump issues an entirely inadequate executive order, and says he's done enough.
Democrats should continue pushing for their program.
    Gaslighting Alert!
As I said, they should continue pushing for their program.
All state and local governments have a tax revenue problem. Do you want to see cuts to schools, police, and fire services?
    Babbling propaganda.

No, he's cutting the unemployment benefit. Another nail in our economic coffin.

Republicans aren't doing enough to make up for the "demand deficit" in consumer and business demand. They're wrecking the economy.

It was (and is) Republican AGs trying to take away healthcare for tens of millions of Americans. It wasn't popular in 2017 when Republicans refused to fix healthcare even though they controlled Congress.

A dumb plan. It's never a good strategy to pursue actions that depend upon your opponent acting in a way that helps you.

The question is: who is the average American? What about small businesses who need funding to stay open? A big issue is one of aid to states who, due to covid-19, are suffering a huge deficit financially; a second round of $1,200 as in the first stimulus package is missing. The "Average American" who is laid off will find their weekly payments reduced from $600 to $400 through no fault of their own.

And finally lets not forget that his actions in signing the EO violate (even some of his most ardent supporters agree) the US Constitution thus creating a constitutional crisis.

That's why I believe most Americans are unhappy with the president and his handling of the stimulus fund and his actions related thereof.

Yes, 85% of the personal tax cuts went to people making $400,000 per year.
Rich people don't need a tax cut.

Economists have been saying for months we haven't done enough to make up for the sharp drop in consumer and business spending. The Fed Chair appointed by Trump has come out twice recently imploring Congress and the President to act now.

Yes there are businesses who cannot operate because people are making more not working and they cannot get enough workers to operate. You are free to call them what you may.

You compared the tax holiday passed by congress and signed into law by Obama to the unilateral and unconstitutional action trump is trying to take. I understand the need to deflect however.

So deficits sone under a Republican are Democrats fault if they control congress (even though he never vetoed them) and deficits under a Democrat is Democrats fault even with a Republican congress and deficits under a Republican with a Republican congress... is that also Democrats fault?

Seems to be the most useless party in the history of the nation to never be able to take credit for anything, but they have shored up their cult with “god is greater (Allahu Akbar)” and healthcare and kindness is the devil.

The Democrats took control of the Congress January of 2007 before the slowdown, a year before the recession. Fact check that. Obama and Biden were members of that Democrat Congress. They failed to pass successful measures to help mitigate the slowdown and recession and then get us into a full recovery.

We do NOT need a repeat of that.

The government will make up the funding and the more people working the more taxes paid.

Most don’t believe the 400 will ever get paid because the EO is toothless.

Yes, holding the US hostage by wanting to address student loan payments, increase funding for states hard hit, continuing the UI benefit and eviction moratoriums while Republicans refused to budge off their lower amounts so that trump could just pass unconstitutional EO and scream victory to the low information voter...

If trumps ploy benefits his poll numbers Americans will be stuck with 400 as Democrats may let it go unchallenged, if trumps poll numbers dip further then I fully expect Republicans to suddenly want to negotiate and 600 will be retroactive.
