Promising results in a remdesivir trial conducted at University of Chicago. The doom and gloom crowd is going to hate this. They want this manufactured crisis to last forever.

 

Oh, never fear. I am sure the alphabet agencies tan by the overlords of the doom and gloom crowd will find some side effect or another anomaly to prevent use. They do not want to let slip their new found power too soon!

Very soon Trump supporters will be saying that this drug is useless when they find out that WHO is the driving force behind worldwide clinical trials and cooperation of testing of this drug on coronavirus

 

Who is this 'doom and gloom' crowd? I haven't seen, watched or spoken to anyone who wants this crisis to continue.

 

Where was your skepticism when the media and their sacred "expert" class were spreading fear and hysteria?

 

It's a good thing I'm not a Trump supporter then. It allows me to have my own opinions without filtering them through the prism of partisanship that has overcome the minds of millions on both "sides" of the political aisle.

 

Their desire for this to continue is largely subconscious. They've invested a substantial part of their identity into the doom and gloom narrative. They've been shaming skeptics and virtue signalling for weeks now. If it turns out that the doom and gloom narrative was a giant fraud, then the doomer crowd will be forced to reflect on just how wrong they were and how much damage they've done to society with their hysteria. They want to avoid that reckoning, so they grasp at straws in an attempt to maintain their failing narrative, even if they don't consciously realize what they're doing.

 

Bring it on, bring it fast, if the testing is honest. Bring everything but the kitchen sink.

 

Actually I think some of them -- those that are NOT trust fund liberals -- are finally realizing that a shut down national economy actually means genuine hard times for them personally and for their leftist family members and friends -- with no way to dodge it. Oops! Thus some of them not only are now pushing for a restart to the economy but for a virus cure. They almost sound like . . . conservatives.

 

There must be some remotely possible dangerous side effect they can condemn it for.
