Ok, so it's that time again... the time when politicians dip their toe into the politics of their base, to get a sense of which issues will get them the most donations. So, what issue is it this time? Why it's Marijuana legalization at the Federal level, of course. With a poll sent via text message to my phone -- From Chuck Schumer no less (But that's no surprise because he's the senator of my home state of New York) -- asking if it's time to legalize pot. Well, IMHO, yes, it's time! But, this just means that the Democratic politicians are going to politicize the issue for the election and then not deliver if they win. I don't trust the Democrats in Congress to pass it because they could legalize it now, but they won't. And, the Marijuana issue is far too important a tool to get votes for elections to waste by legalizing weed so that such a tool is gone for good.
