To each their own, I suppose. I've just never seen a woman wearing two bands on their wedding finger...I'm no expert on this sort of thing though.
Same. I usually don't see two rings. I think a band is fine, and rather nice looking depending. I have a ring that I always wear, but sometimes it makes me uncomfortable. It's a nice ring but I "flip it" a lot. It's kind of ostentatious, so I have to wear the stone by my palm a lot. Sometimes gaudy jewelry attracts bad attention, so a band is often a good idea. My mother has her (ridiculous) engagement ring stolen twice.
It's also possible that in her job, flying airplanes, she doesn't want a diamond getting caught on anything or ripping the nomex gloves. A band actually makes sense from that perspective.
Well, I'm guessing shes only going to spend like .01% of the rest of her life wearing Nomex gloves. My wife is a RN and the surgical glove thing didn't really enter into her thought process but yeah, I get what you're saying.
Yeah, I mentioned that earlier. I also like bands better. Having a diamond would be too gaudy for me.
if you're married, you don't have to keep wearing the engagement ring everyday. it's perfectly acceptable to just wear just the wedding band and keep the rock in a safe where its'..well... safe.
how about a huge honking sapphire? an engagement ring doesn't have to be a diamond. diamond solitaires are just the current norm. dont' think you're not worthy of the same ring as royals? just think of all the people that have called you a royal PITA...
If that is you, the dress looks good. I've seen several women who are too heavy, or just too busty trying to wear that style and it doesn't work, but it works very well on you. Minus the strap marks, of course.
There was a size 16 trying on the same dresses at the same time as I was. I felt kind of bad for her because all of the dresses are designed for smaller women. Well, felt bad until she acted like a heinous brat. Yeah, I will definitely do without the tan lines.
I doubt it, if I remember correctly, which I rarely do, I thought she said she was a Mongol, or something of that sort.
