So, what's everyone gettin into for the weekend?

Drinkin?

Traveling?

Outdoorsy stuff?

Myself, I'll be taking my son to get him up to speed on the finer points of soccer, and, after nightfall, me & my friends D.G. Yuengling & Son will share some beverages, though I haven't decided whether it will be the Lager, Black & Tan, or Porter this weekend...

Also, gonna get some runnin in...

The fiancé and I are going out to tonight; staying in drinking, watching some football, and preparing some food for Sunday on Saturday night; having some of the guys/girls over for some bourbon and poker on Sunday.

 

Sounds like a good time...

But, alas, no more football for me this week...

My Panthers took another L last night...

 

I watch every game. With hockey and football, I can watch any teams play. Relax about the P's, it is only preseason. Not that you guys have anything big to look forward to, but preseason is not completely indicative of what happens in the regular season. Remember when the Lions went 4-0 in the preseason? They ended up 0-16.

The Seahawks are going to suck though. I do not even have to watch them play now to see the 4-12 record coming.

 

Yeah I think it's gonna be a rough season for us, unless Cam Newton shocks the whole world come regular season...

I'm just praying right now that the NBA gets their lockout resolved before it's time for the season to start...

 

I never liked Cam Newton. He could not read defenses and was not very accurate. I also think he was a lot like Tebow in that he never took snaps under Center. Maybe I am wrong though. I will admit I did not pay much attention to him in college. Seahawks are running their Suck For Luck campaign, but I am not sure that will work out too well. I am not a fan of Luck either.

 

I got love for the Seahawks, but, because of Aaron Curry...

I was pullin for y'all in the playoffs last year...

 

Curry is great, but injured. I was cheesed off we made the playoffs last year despite seeing one of the greatest runs of all time. We should have let the Rams win so they had to draft higher. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I am not sure who is going to be the class of the NFC this year. Eagles look good, but they have also looked really bad. Packers are a safe choice.

I talked to his brother when I went back to NC in May...

Seems like an NFL brother is an awesome thing...

Philly or GB are gonna be good...

Outside of that, I just get to kick back and soak up all the misery...lol

 

Same here. It comes with being a Seattle sports fan. I will pull for the Eagles since a kid I know plays for them. He is not a starting WR, but he has been getting some action in preseason. Good kid.

 

Fundraiser on Sunday we are getting ready for. Kid with cancer.

 

My wife and I will be staying at Geneva on the lake for the weekend with with 2 other couples who are family friends. Fishing, skiing, boating etc this weekend.

They recently had one of those for my nephew back home in NC...

Did relatively well as I understood...

It's always great when one of these events are successful...

Cancer is such a strain on the child and their family...
