I'd expect all "president-elects" and their transition teams to begin building bridges of communication. As we are starting to see, the hand-off from the past admin to the current one was insincere at best, and much effort was done to undermine a democratically elected president.

It's high time that elected officials start doing what is right for the country and not focus on their own political party. That is why Trump is disliked by many. He comes right out and says hey, doing x y or z hasn't worked for 30 years, let's try something different.

The truth - to which each only has a snippet that he is inevitably disposed to distort - is not to be found under such circumstances, but it is the professional discretion of the Special Counsel that makes such a situation inevitable. Mueller does not comment on the public statements of those who have appeared before his team, so those folks, if they deem it in their interests to spread a story through the press, are free to fabricate whatever they wish, knowing that Mueller will not publicly contradict them.

Special Counsel Mueller is tight-lipped because loose lips sing ships.

Whether someone hysterically raving "Hoax!", "Witch hunt!", "Fake news!" or "Nothingburger!" or, like insider Bam Bam Bannon, characterizes the clandestine meetings (about which they lied) - of Junior Trump, Plenipotentiary Kushner, and Trump Campaign Chairman Manafort with Russian agents as "treasonous" and "unpatriotic" is presently unknown.

Bannon's observation, “You realize where this is going - This is all about money laundering!" remains to be seen.

Nothing, beyond the actual indictments and confessions, is known until the eminently professional Mueller makes it known.

 

Ths was reported on months ago. Russia wanted to be able to discuss senstive issues with the incoming administration and suggested a secure channel be set up but was turned down.

Trump is no saint; most likely has at least as many skeletons in his closed as the next guy, probably more. So, the democrats dig... dig... dig and will almost certainly find something less then kosher in Trump's past.

If Democrats win the house, whatever "eminently professional Mueller finds, will be enough to impeach Trump. If Republicans hold the house, the russkie investigation will wind down.

I am forming no conclusions, and can only trust in the Trump Justice Department Special Counsel to conduct a thorough investigation and expose the truth to the extent that is possible.

If you are asking whether I recognize that there are quite a number of very suspicious aspects to trumpery that deserve such exposure, certainly.

Mueller's resumé is very impressive. He is, arguably, by far the best appointment of the Trump Administration. When Newtie Gingrich called him a "superb choice" upon his appointment, he reflected the overwhelming, non-partisan sentiment.
