Yes, I am back... I am still stating evolution is a joke. Why? It is faith based due to you haven't seen it and have faith it is real. It is a religion just as believing in God. I have discussed this often, and have not been proven that evolution is a joke, but only a different type of religion.

It is a religion for those who do not believe in God, just not your typical one. It is not based on science, but belief, just like all other religions. Thus, it is a religion.... PERIOD!!!

Because you have no problem with lying to yourself or others.

I have watched a fast motion clip of a human embryo evolve from a single cell (sperm-egg), to an infant, then from an infant to an adult.
incorrect All 'gods' are manmade, unless observing nature as god itself

    That is another false witness.

I personally have gone over evolution with you on a bunch of these stupid threads.

    Incorrect.

i bet more religious adherant accept evolution, than atheist. ie..... An "atheist" itself, is most often an 'evolved' theist.
    That's a false witness

And this thread has nothing to do with religion, unless to identify the OP writer as a religious wingnut, doing what a religious wingnut often does; lie.

There are kangaroos in New Guinea. Borneo has an identical climate and geography to New Guinea. Is only about 600 miles away, but does not have kangaroos. As far as we can discover never has had kangaroos.

Part of evolution is about understanding why organisms are where they are. How did the Dodo reach the Mauritius. It certainly didn't walk there

Does that mean the Pope does not believe in God?
    I'm shocked.

First off the Dodo didn't fly... also, has no previous ancestor which we have evidence that did fly, so it probably did.

Also, evolution deals with a bird, frog, cockroach, rose bush, and a fish all having a common ancestor...

And lastly, you did know that they say that all land was connected at one time, right... then over time, the continents split apart... or were you unaware of that?

How do scientists know that planets orbit other stars, they can't "see" most of them? Is astronomy a religion too? No one has "seen" a quark or an electron. Is quantum physics a religion too?

There is many things in science that we humans cannot "see", but we can infer their existence by observations of phenomenon. Astronomers use radial velocity to find exoplanets, Particle physicists use deep inelastic scattering to discover quarks. Evolutionary Biologists use the fossil record and DNA analysis to reconstruct evolutionary timeline of life on Earth.

Because it is an ocean and people cannot live on/in oceans without boats.

Whereas kangaroos should have little to no problem living in Borneo (and most of the rest of Indonesia).

The Mauritius Islands have never been connected to another land mass. They are oceanic islands. And sorry to correct you but the Dodo ancestors did fly, today we call them pigeons

Wrong. First off, you are ignoring the mountaines of evidence by not only biologists but every earth science in existance. Secondly, it is science, based on facts and evidence, beliefs do not require either to be believed, science does require them to be accepted as true. Third, you seem to be confused, one can believe in the science of evolution and also believe in God, you simply are selling God short in His abilities, the more we learn about science the Wonderous His acts are.

Good to see you're back DBM. My all time favorite anti evolutionist

Nope...a religion must have a deity, or at least prophets. IMO

Evolution is not a religion for me, I'm a Presbyterian, and that's my religion.

Nope...it is very much based in science.

We've been through this before...natural selection is the current best theory to explain evolution. Evolution is simply the change in species over time we see happening all around us, and is an undisputed reality when viewed this way.

    Very impressive!

    1. You use the direct ancestor argument - nothing like using an evolutionary argument to disprove evolution. Science is not self contradictory, religion can be.

    2. Now you got it! another evolutionary argument in an attempt to disprove evolution. Genetics proves that statement to be absolutely true. I am surprised you know this and yet still reject evolution

    3. Pangea started breaking apart some 200+ million years ago, which one can consider a tad before the emergence of feathered birds, since their dinosaur ancestors were only just arriving on the scene.

    The OP is a joke

Now that would be a more fitting title for this thread.

Scientific study of the fossil record and observation in the real world demonstrate evolution, religious faith is not based on anything real. Its the joke of the two.

dont be silly, the north pole does not include everything north of 66th or whatever it is parallel.

The north pole, tho is out in the arctic ocean many miles from land and nobody lives there, or within hundreds of miles of it.

As a former Anthropology major...this thread is putting my mind into that strange state where you just don't know where to begin.

You want to prove your point, but you know what it would take to unwind what you're seeing, and you just kind of slump over in your chair with a face palm.
