Obama has armed the mexican drug cartel, and now he is going to send guns to the muslims in Syria. Yet he wants to disarm law abiding Americans.

How do members of the Obama cult explain this?????

Obama's fans never explain anything he does. All they do is blame Bush, or say Bush did it first, or otherwise talk about Bush to deflect blame from their Messiah Pharoah-king.

It is your ignorance on the topics you mentioned that is causing your stress. Obama did not arm the cartels, it was a ATF sting gone bad. The Syrians brought that on themselves by using poison gas, but by all means be a good rightie and support dictators. There is no and was no move to disarm Americans, even though I was against the assualt rifle ban, it would not have disarmed anyone. Feel better now?

Are they planning to give those rebels assault weapons to shoot up a Columbine or Sandy Hook? Maybe they will limit it to double barrel shotguns? Will firing two blasts outside the home stop the dictator? How about background checks?

    Taxcutter says:
If so, somebody would have been disciplined. Nobody was disciplined, so we must deduce it was an expression of policy.

No, you assume it is, difference. Should someone have been punished, sure, I doubt the subject is closed yet.

As long as that's true, we talk and don't shoot.

    How long that's true...now that's the variable.

    “H32. Requires Iraq to inform the Security Council that it will not commit or support any act of international terrorism or allow any organization directed towards commission of such acts to operate within its territory and to condemn unequivocally and renounce all acts, methods and practices of terrorism;
    I
    33. Declares that, upon official notification by Iraq to the Secretary-General and to the Security Council of its acceptance of the provisions above, a formal cease-fire is effective between Iraq and Kuwait and the Member States cooperating with Kuwait in accordance with resolution 678 (1990);” http://www.fas.org/news/un/iraq/sres/sres0687.htm

July 1997, South Movement, "the path of Jihad and proper action": "Those who desire to face up to the Zionists conspiracies, intransigence, and aggressiveness must proceed towards the advance centers of capabilities in the greater Arab homeland and to the centers of the knowledge, honesty and sincerity with whole heartiness if the aim was to implement a serious plan to save others from their dilemma or to rely on those capable centers; well-known for their positions regarding the enemy, to gain precise concessions from it with justified maneuvers even if such centers including Baghdad not in agreement with those concerned, over the objectives and aims of the required maneuvers." (On the 29th anniversary of Iraq's national day (the 17th of July 1968 revolution). President Saddam Hussein made an important comprehensive and nation wide address) http://southmovement.alphalink.com.au/countries/Iraq/speech.htm

“On the basis of what we said about Iraq while confronting aggressions, the world now needs to abort the US aggressive schemes, including its aggression on the Afghan people, which must stop.
Again we say that when someone feels that he is unjustly treated, and no one is repulsing or stopping the injustice inflicted on him, he personally seeks ways and means for lifting that justice. Of course, not everyone is capable of finding the best way for lifting the injustice inflicted on him. People resort to what they think is the best way according to their own ideas, and they are not all capable of reaching out for what is beyond what is available to arrive to the best idea or means.
To find the best way, after having found their way to God and His rights, those who are inflicted by injustice need not to be isolated from their natural milieu, or be ignored deliberately, or as a result of mis-appreciation, by the officials in this milieu. They should, rather, be reassured and helped to save themselves, and their surroundings. It is only normal to say that punishment is a necessity in our world, because what is a necessity in the other world must also be necessary in our world on Earth. But, the punishment in the other world is faire and just, and the prophets and messengers of God (peace be upon them all) conducted punishment and called for it in justice, and not on the basis of suspicions and whims.” (Saddam Hussein Shabban 13, 1422 H. October 29, 2001.)

“Once again, we say that, injustice and the pressure that results from it on people lead to explosions. As explosions are not always organized, it is to be expected that they may harm those who make them and others. The events of September 11, should be seen on this basis, and on the basis of imbalanced reactions, on the part of governments accused of being democratic, if the Americans are sure that these were carried out by people from abroad.
To concentrate not on what is important, but rather on what is the most important, we say again that after having seen that the flames of any fire can expand to cover all the world, it first and foremost, needs justice based on fairness. The best and most sublime expression of this is in what we have learned from what God the Al Mighty ordered to be, or not to be.” (Saddam Hussein Shabban 13, 1422 H. October 29, 2001.)

Who are the magical “they” that Saddam said, “should, rather, be reassured and helped to save themselves, and their surroundings?”

"But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history." http://www.barackobama.com/2002/10/02/remarks_of_illinois_state_sen.php

“Varney: Is it possible that America’s interests have, in fact, been well served by the war in Iraq? Let me explain that. We have taken the fight to the enemy. The enemy is divided completely. And the enemy is now killing itself, fighting each other. Is that not long term, in a way, in America’s strategic interests?
Clark: Well, actually, I don’t think so. The ‘enemy’ so to speak, were the people that attacked us on 9/11. Saddam had really nothing to do directly with those people. He didn’t encourage the attack, he didn’t aid it. He wasn’t part of it, in fact they viewed Saddam as part of the enemy camp. So we attacked Afghanistan, we took out the government that supported the people that attacked us and then, in my view, in a strategic blunder, moved against Saddam Hussein. He was contained. Yes he was an unpleasant person. Yes he was a potential danger like every tyrant I guess is. But he couldn’t directly strike the United States and he was performing the function of a ‘cork in the bottle’ in the Persian Gulf containing the power of Iran. We removed him.” (Transcript of Stewart Varney interview of General Wesley Clark on Your World Cavuto, Fox News)

"If you wanted to keep Saddam in power to suppress the scary Shiites, you have probably exceeded the limits and violated some verse of the Koran. Have a nice day!" (Me, 08-11-05, 01:00 PM)

“I would have preferred that the President agree to the approach drafted by Senators Biden and Lugar because that resolution would authorize the use of force for the explicit purpose of disarming Iraq and countering the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.” (TEXT FROM THE SPEECH JOHN KERRY MADE ON THE SENATE FLOOR October 9, 2002)

“Let me be clear: I am voting to give this authority to the President for one reason and one reason only: to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction if we cannot accomplish that objective through new tough weapons inspections.” (TEXT FROM THE SPEECH JOHN KERRY MADE ON THE SENATE FLOOR October 9, 2002)

    What was that you said:

The Iraqis brought that on themselves by supporting terrorism, but by all means be a good leftie and support dictators?

Wow, talk about an ignorant post. I believed we should have taken out Saddam when he gassed the Kurds. We didn't. I was against going in when we did because he was not part of the fight against terror, his major contribution to terror was sending money to the families of those in Israel/Palistine that blew themselves up in acts of terror, not a good reason for all the American deaths that followed. While on the other hand it was the right that supported Saddam for years and supported the maniac in Lybia and the dictator in Egypt and now the dictator in Syrian, are you guys sure you are on the right side?

You are giving us blue balls with your constitution worship every day if it is so divine as you say use it , impeach , vote for a third party , go the state way of amending it, boycott president's sponsors, ask for the heads of the NSA and whoever violates your rights and so on . I knew that you are cowards (patriot act) and quiters (seceding for losing en election) but this goes beyond any imagination , grow some balls and make him take you seriously in a legitimate way .
Moaning and expressing your helplessness is like praying , it does nothing,

See what is happening in Turkey? people are dieing for their rights to live as they want , this needs balls.

    Talk about a cult.

“What was gained by keeping Saddam?
Nothing but a future of deadly bedlam.
The nature of terror requires fear,
Dark shadows where nothing is clear.
Terror stalks quite well despite the laws,
Which don’t stop anything without claws.
“To be, are not” as the bard would say,
let the wolves circle or scare them away,
    To come back with what they have sired;
It’s with those tactics war we are mired:
Do you know the tragedy had a reason,
Justice delayed things out of season.
Why should we wait for the rutting pig,
While at the same time our own grave dig.
Read it again, “Hamlet” is full of wisdom,
But requires knowledge of Gods Kingdom.
Claudius understood in that last prayer,
What was delayed made a greater slayer.” (Sunday, ‎September ‎23, ‎2001, ‏‎9:46:10 PM)

    War of the Leeches!

The Leech does bleed and sap the soul,
    With “Laissez-faire” of striving “war,”
In endless horror what’s the goal,
    To kill forever evermore?
Of arms do sing men of honor,
Of dieing young for lying scum,
    Of spit and anti-war banner,
    To preserve butcher of Islam!
    To cleaning women cry beware,
You’re the target till evil dies,
    For never a tyrant despair,
When liberals do rule your skies.
    Never social justice secure,
Liberal arts of “war” endure!

    A sting gone bad? :roflol:

Bush's DOJ ran a sting .... it was called "gunrunner". OWEblmaer's DOJ took "gunrunner" and applied his trademark incompetence, mixed it in with anti-gun ideology and created Fast and Furious that did, in fact, arm Mexican drug cartels.... and he did it without alerting the Mexican government. In conjunction with arming Mexican cartels via F&F, Clinton and Holder were both sent out (prematurely) just after the launch of F&F in 2009 claiming that 90% of the guns found in violent crimes in Mexico came from the US. This was not an ATF sting gone bad.

Also, HSBC were caught laundering billions of dollars for Mexican drug cartels, and some of that cash went to Islamic terrorists. Of course, since they are a rich banking corporation, no prosecutions have occurred; It was "deferred". The execs even got millions in performance bonus for that year, even still !!! Is laundering all that money to be considered a good performance?

Like AQ and the Taliban, voilent Mexican drug cartels don't seem to be much of an "enemy" these days.

Obama bashers never explain anything their own Presidents do. All they do it blame Obama, or say "Obama did it too", or otherwise talk about Obama to deflect blame from their own failing past President. Bush gets the pass, and Obama gets the blame. That's just how Republicans are.

I'm sorry, you wrote "whinning" (sp) and I think you meant to write "lying". Only about 12% of the total Mexican arms retrieved from violent can be traced to the US . About 90% come from places other than the US and the majority come from South America via the Mexican Drug Cartel's drug supply-chain. .

    http://www.stratfor.com/weekly/20110209-mexicos-gun-supply-and-90-percent-myth

Apparently OWEblamer was going to try and make good on that 90% claim by trying to make it true.

Actually, you're the one doing a deflection.

This thread is about Obama's weapons handouts to unsavory people. Last I checked, Bush did many bad things but he didn't do this kind of weaponry giveaways.

So why are you trying to deflect blame away from Obama by bringing up Bush in a thread that's about Obama's behavior?

What do you think about the Obama weapons distributions?

Please dude. What Bush did to this country and the world will have ramifications for decades to come. We've crossed the Rubicon. To (*)(*)(*)(*) and moan about Obama after giving Bush the pass is beyond retarded. I'll say this once. Obama is proving to be just as disgusting as Bush in some of his policies but, Bush established that it was okay to do "whatever", and the precedent was set. No point in whining about it now. Prosecute Bush and I'll entertain criticism of Obama.

Seriously, why don't the chronic bellywhinging pantywaists form a third party if they're so alienated from the American electorate?

Interminable, shrill kvetching is quite tedious.

You want me to say it? I'll say it. During black ops you get a free pass to do things: bad things, horribly wonderful things, whatever you want. Just so long as you don't get caught.
