You can find the map here: https://covid-survey.dataforgood.fb.com/

It will be interesting to see if they keep updating this map with new data and perhaps use information to get a better idea of the true rate of infection - especially in areas where testing is not as prevalent or available. For example, my county had 0.29% of respondents in the area experiencing symptoms, which would equate to ~2200 cases. That is significantly above the confirmed case count from the John Hopkins tracker of ~1520 cases.

I would love to hear how these numbers compare in your county.

What's interesting about this data, is that the 'infected's' are so spread out across counties to appear relatively small. Philadelphia County(where I'm now at) has 0.46% of respondents.

If that's at all accurate, the challenge is to make sure I don't meet any of the 0.46% of respondents. That's what the South Koreans are doing well in contact tracing. Of course, there's the big brother aspect and hopefully we can work around that or compromise in a way so that civil liberties are protected, but The South Koreans are really handling this ideally IMO.

The mortality rate might be a lot lower than anyone imagined.

"An antibody study released Monday found that the novel coronavirus infection rate in Los Angeles County “far exceeds” the number of confirmed cases, meaning that the fatality rate is also “much lower” than previously thought.

The preliminary results of research conducted by USC and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health found that about 4.1% of the county’s adult population carries the COVID-19 antibody, about 28 to 55 times higher than the 7,994 confirmed cases reported in early April.

Adjusted for the margin of error, the percentage of adults with the antibody ranges from 2.8% and 5.6%, which translates to between 221,000 and 442,000 adults. The county had recorded 617 deaths from the virus as of Monday."

"The Stanford study projected a mortality rate from the coronavirus of 0.12% to 0.2%. In early March, the World Health Organization found that the mortality rate from COVID-19 worldwide was 3.4%, while the death rate from the seasonal flu is typically about 0.1%."

I had to laugh at that map. My state of AZ is showing our hotspots for infection in the NE. The only thing up there is Canyon De Chelly/Monument Valley. Remember this seen from Forrest Gump.

I never knew the CDC was tracking the infection rate for Wile E Coyote and the roadrunner.

You are talking about the Navajo County where the Navajo Nation has ~1300 confirmed cases and ~45 deaths? It even has its own line item on the US Worldofmeters page.
