What we've gleaned from this thread...

Those who know the least, claim to know it all.

Ive never met such an anti-business business owner.

Makes me wonder if somebody has just been blowing smoke.

I've certainly gleaned from this thread that you are a 75%er. Incapable of independent thought, honesty, the ability to debate articulately, or have any sense of the proper way to discuss a problem.

You in particular ma'am have not presented one single shred of evidence to support any of your ridiculous claims in this thread.

First you claim that the minimum wage is what a job is worth.

When you are proven false you move on to claiming that MILLIONS of Americans will lose their jobs if the minimum wage was raised

When that is PROVEN wrong, you move on to raising the minimum wage will result in massive inflation.

When THAT is proven wrong you move on to calling Democrats liars.

At NO point did you even stop to consider any of the evidence shown to support why you're wrong. At no point did it occur to you actually LOOK at the information to even SEE if you were wrong

It would be one thing if out of those 4 things you presented some data against two of them and said "okay I agree, you proved 1 and 2 but I still believe 3 and 4 outweigh the benefits" or something along those lines, as reasonable people do when having a debate.

But no not smartmouthedwoman, nope, she goes all in and just flat denies ALL facts presented that don't agree with her preformed opinion.

Do you have kids? Did you teach them how to add? When you did did you write down the problem

    2
    +2
    ______

and then teach them to just pick a number and write it in and then try to make the math workout, or did you teach them to do the math and then come up with the answer? You're in this thread screaming that 2+2+5 without even doing the math.

^ that is all too common today. NO ONE wants to actually look at any information. They just want to turn on the TV and say "oh Fox says a minimum wage increase is bad, good enough for me" or "oh msnbc says that i should be able to force a bakery to bake my cake, good enough for me" or what the (*)(*)(*)(*) ever.

You have this box right in front of you connected to this thing called the Internet. You can go to https://www.google.com/ and find just about anything you'd like to find. Including thousands of studies that prove you are conclusively wrong on so many levels in this thread. Not to mention at least 10K examples of Republcan politicians caught in lies, but that's another matter entirely.

Try educating yourself and evaluating the actual data before spewing an uninformed opinion next time.

With that being said, this has obviously turned into another farce of a discussion so I will be abstaining from this thread for the duration. Adieu.

You keep trying to associate anyone who disagrees with your opinion with democrats, and claiming only democrats lie.

We have two completely different opinions on the matter by the way.

Conhog believes that employers will come up with the cash when the minimum wage does increase without taking it out on consumers by increasing the cost of living so a raise will be effective.

I on the other hand believe they will take advantage of the situation, increase prices on most everything even if they don't have employees that are effected by the raise, increasing the cost of living raising the relative poverty level and nothing will be solved.

So where are you on the subject? Or are we just going to continue the asinine argument that the lessor of the perceived two evils will save us BS?

No wait let me guess. (*)(*)(*)(*) them lazy bastards, they don't deserve a raise cuz they ain't worth the pimples on a baby buffalo's ass. They should get an education (with no money), and get a better job (even though there are none). They should also continue to subsidize their income as dependent of the tax payer so that the corporate management can continue to make more than they are worth or deserve. If I made it in 1914 they should be able to do the same today, I mean really what's changed other than that ni(*)(*)er in the white house, and God punishing us because we got gay people now wanting to marry and steal Christmas. The world is going to hell in a hand basket and it's all because of those damned progressive democrats, and their socialist, communist ways.

I could say read the preceding 800 posts and you'd know my opinions. The Dem/Rep thing only came up a lib tried to deflect to the 'everybody does it' defense.

But I'm bored, so... I don't have a problem with a small increase in minimum wage. The real issue is whether the govt has the power to tell businesses they have to pay employees A LIVABLE WAGE, based on what I perceive to be inflated poverty levels

Actually the topic is about firing fast food workers who went out 'on strike.' If I was a store mgr and one of my employees didn't show up for his/her shift because they were protesting my store... yeah, I'd fire 'em. Eventually. But in the meantime, they'd be my go-to person when the grease traps needed cleaning out.

I'll ignore your last insulting paragraph because obviously you're just trying to impress conhog.

My goodness, am I to consider myself spanked and sent to bed with no supper?

When one has to exaggerate to make their case, they've already lost the debate. In this case, that would be you. I never mentioned how I felt about most of the 'bullets' you listed for me.

I NEVER said millions will lose their jobs.

I NEVER said raising the minimum wage would result in massive inflation.

You are blaming me for every bit of opposition you've had on this whole colossal thread. Every bit of frustration you feel @ being proven, not wrong, but uninformed, by a lowly female 75%er... you've heaped on my shoulders. It's all my fault.

My God man, you are a TRUE DEMOCRAT, aren't you?
