Well, since you won't read the Eastman memo, I'll start with what preceded it. The plan was to have Pence count the fake electors and ignore the legal ones so that Trump could steal a few states for Trump. Pence didn't go with that, so the next plan was to have Pence simply declare that a few states shouldn't count at all and that Trump should be declared the winner based on having a majority in the remaining states. Then the plan was to have Pence force the vote the House instead and ignore the EC entirely. Glad you've caught up now. Why are you okay with these assaults on the Constitution?

As they should. As soon as they were discovered the NARA was notified and asked to supervise their handling AND invited to look for more errant documents. No, stalling, no hiding, no lying about them; only full and immediate cooperation.

Oh dear, you must not be aware of the press conference Bragg held after presenting the indictment. Sad!

I don't like most Democrats. We all remember how Democrats ignored Hillary's crimes. What goes around comes around.

Look worse for Bragg. Disbarment will be the least of his worries. When this all gets kicked out, or overturned on appeal, you know Trump is going to sue their asses into oblivion, and win. Right?

CNN is garbage, this article proves it. You realize Cohen's primary crime was hiding $4 million in income from the IRS and lying to banks to acquire loans he didn't qualify for?

As part of his plea bargain prosecutors wanted him "rat" on Trump and plead guilty to improper campaign donations... which he was happy to do for a reduced sentence. The reason the the DoJ and FEC didn't go after Trump when Cohen implicated him and plead guilty was because there was no crime committed by Trump. If there was evidence of a federal crime we wouldn't be hanging on to Bragg's nonsense in a state court. Pretending there was more to his guilty plea than that is going to leave you sorely disappointed in Bragg's trial.

Since Bragg violated Trump's 6th Amendment rights, that future lawsuit just got a little easier.

That’s because it’s not about law, it’s about his political position

They better hurry it up. 2024 is just around the corner and Trump can use more bad press to build his support.

Trainor sure is one dumb & desperate piece of work.

Has he not heard of Trump's buddy David Pecker of The National Enquirer?
Who not only appeared before the Grand Jury 2 x with the goods he collaborated Michael Cohen's testimony explaining the "catch & Kill" scheme used explicitly to silence any negative claims about Trump before the election.

"First, he said, Cohen took the blame in his plea deal. “At the end of the day, there's the person who committed the crime, and there's the person who is behind bars because of it,” Trainor said of Cohen.

Second, the paperwork violation in question came well after Trump’s 2016 election, so it couldn’t have been done to help his election. :roflol:

Third, it is not obvious that the reason for the payment and the reimbursement to Cohen was to influence the election, thus failing the “objective standard” of law. :roflol: “It has to be something that anybody on the street can look at and say the only reason you did that was to influence the campaign,” said Trainor. “There's a lot of reasons that he could have done it that aren't related to him being a candidate for president, and so therefore, it wouldn't have met the standard as campaign expenditure under federal law,” he added.":roflol:

So both Cohen and Trump lied to banks, not surprising.
Trump's DOJ wanted Cohen to rat out Trump. lol
The DOJ/Barr told NY AG Berman to back off investigating Trump/hush-money and made Berman believe they were investigating it which was BS.
The FEC didn't investigate because Cohen pled guilty to finance violations and other agencies were investigating it plus they didn't have the time or resources.

Remember... it was only in Feb/Mar/2023 that Bragg got all he needed from David Pecker's testimonies, documents etc.

Have you even read Michael Cohen's guilty plea?

Cohen plead guilty and implicated Trump. The FEC investigates election crime. They had the time and resources.

there is actual evidence, probably provided by the CFO, that he actually made the payments with his authorization and signature. Then we have tape recordings to that effect, with the precise details, other than what Cohen provided to CNN as an excerpt, and finally, the journal entries from the software used to keep track of those entries.

And the Trump Administration DOJ, Sessions, the acting AGs, and Barr never tried Hilary, did they? Oh hell, not even the GOP led Congress or Senate never referred Hillary to the DOJ for investigation, did they? So, was there a crime, using your FEC arguments here?
