I doubt it. If you were a Pence supporter you were anti-Trump, you're not going for Trump-lite.

My prediction don't know because I never bothered to learn their names as they would all be footnotes in history, but all the people that didn't talk very much at the first debate they'll probably drop soon. Then Chris Christie, maybe after Nikki Haley. Then it's a hard call between the DeSantis and Ramaswamy. I think the letter goes first. Then DeSantis will lose to Trump

With the looney legislators of the GOP, in charge of choreographing the chaos, on that side of Congress, and such an easily surmountable Democratic margin, in the Senate, it would not be wise to put in the White House, anyone who would be highly disposed towards signing laws, crafted in the partisan craziness, of a Republican Congress. Or do you think, if Haley were to beat Trump, that would end the madness?

Most certainly a plurality of Republicans.

That aside, like 7 yrs ago, a third party ticket, and I see Jon Huntsman and Joe Manchin as viable and established political power players having the opportunity. Whether they can capitalize on it is a whole another ballgame, but certainly people with little extremism and more middle of the road politics that can be used by all.

It might break the fever if trump can’t win the nomination.
I suspect repubs are desperate for anyone who can free them of the orange albatross.

Be that as it may, the only reason that Trump's words have such an affect, on many Republicans, is because these are championed by the voters, who are those Republicans' constituents. And the most prominent reason that Trump's words find such sympathy, within the Republican base, is because many of these sentiments-- anti-immigrant, isolationist, anti-diversity, anti-regulatory, anti-tax, anti-democratic-- already reside, within those Americans. Now that the seedier elements of these have been given license, by Trump's condoning of them, it is hard to see that genie, going quietly back into the bottle. There are clearly other politicians, willing to pick up that banner, should Trump have it stripped from him, upon entrance to any enforced-stay facility.

Right. So tired of it. Thats why you have so many post condemning Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar for representing a religion that throws gays off of rooftops.

Oh wait, zero post exist of you doing so. So weird. I wonder why?

Third party candidates received 6% of the vote in 2016. Some 8.2 million votes. The libertarian, Green, Constitutional party had no money to run a viable campaign. That was an election where Trump and Clinton were both disliked and not wanted by most Americans to become the next president. 2024 is shaping up to be the same type of an election.

A recent poll involving RFK Jr. showed him getting 14% of the vote to Trump’s 33%, Biden 31%. I think this shows most Americans are looking for someone else other than Biden and Trump.

I’m keeping an eye out for polls that give more than two choices, Trump or Biden. Polls that not only list Biden and Trump, but other, will not vote and not sure. You gov had one. Question 16. A 38-38 tie between Biden and Trump with 23% falling into the other, will not vote and not sure column.

But when you look at independents only, the election deciders, that 23% rises to 39%. A whopping 20% stating they wouldn’t vote if the rematch occurs. I think the early numbers, not much of them are showing 2024 will be a low voter turnout election with a high third-party vote. Probably a lower voter turnout than 2016 and a higher third-party vote to boot. I’ll be waiting for more numbers when they become available.

You must not have looked very hard
I eagerly wait your retraction as any person with integrity would immediately do.

It’s almost like I don’t bring up Islam because it’s rare to see someone in the US rubbing that brand of mental illness in everyone else’s faces. It’s evangelicals almost exclusively. The American taliban

Didnt ask for a generic anti religion post. Asking why you havent condemned Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar for supporting a religion that throws gays off of roofs. You don't have a single one. Just get angry at mike pence praying. Again, i look back and wonder why?

They always do that, but its ridiculous from a political angle. My guess is that there are financial implications for the campaign to total surrender. A suspended campaign can still collect donations and write checks.

I don’t care what you can or cannot find — my posts have always been against religion being shoved in public policy. All religion. Can you highlight where either of those two women have tried to push their religious beliefs into public and I will gladly condemn them also.

But it seems to be only evangelicals on the national level that don’t seem to be able to control themselves.

Since the repubs are too afraid of trump’s cult to deal with him, and the cult has put him above their country, I would advise every independent and democrat who can to vote in the repub primaries in their states or register as a repub and vote for anyone but trump.
I suspect that if trump loses a primary, the floodgates will open to allow others to stop pandering to such a truly deplorable person.

Not sure how Mike Pence praying is worthy of a condemnation, but a statement like this ""To my president, to our president ... I want him to know, as a Palestinian American and somebody in Muslim faith, I'm not going to forget this. And I think a lot of people are not going to forget this," Tlaib said." Draws absolutely nothing from you. Odd how you don't seem to have a single post condemning a person who supports a religion that literally throws gay people off of roofs. Party before anything else, clearly. I think we are done here.

What are you not comprehending about “all religions”? I didn’t think it was that complex of a statement

And again, let me know where she is using her faith to impose law. You bypassed that question. How typical.
You have been for a while but thank jebus you finally recognized it.

Yes, but why would you think:
    1) that Trump's supporters, among Republican constituencies, would not remain a force, and a consideration;
    2) that others (Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, etc., etc.) would not step in, to fill Trump's role?
