Nikole Hannah-Jones, the founder of the pseudo-historical ‘1619 Project,’ has come out publicly to state that she believes parents should have no say in what their own children are taught in the classroom.

Hannah-Jones’ comments come as the mask is ripped off of the true agenda that the Radical Left is advancing upon in schools nationwide. The Marxists are now making it publicly known that your children are their property in the new America.

“I don’t really understand this idea that parents should decide what’s being taught. I’m not a professional educator. I don’t have a degree in social studies or science. We send our children to school because we want them to be taught by people with expertise in the subject area, and that is not my job,” she said during an appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press.

What is ironic is that Hannah-Jones admits her lack of expertise and knowledge but then demands that her racist ‘1619 Project,’ which is a blood libel against the U.S. founding fathers and all white Americans, be taught in every school nationwide.

his is all the proof one needs that according to secular progressive education ideology, former Governor McAuliffe did not misspeak when he said parents should have no role in their kids education. He truly meant it. This witch who concocted the evil brew that is 1619 propaganda believes the same. It’s all about big government being in control over our children.

The 1619 project and its associated CRT are pure propaganda against America and that it’s creator wants to overcome and override parents in getting it crammed down our throats speaks volumes as to progressives intent.

So you want children being taught by someone who knows nothing about teaching or the subject being taught. Got it.

I would rather a parent teach than a CRT brainwashed idiot that thinks that they have a right to politically indoctrinate children. Besides, parents have been teaching their children LONG before schools even existed.

That’s not what’s being said at all and you know it! The issue isn’t excluding teachers, it’s including a parental role in the type of content being taught as well as the books in the library and what the bathrooms and sports teams of their daughters are like.

And they still are with home schools around the country. I’m sure the bi coastal secular progressive elites will soon have a woody for that too as portrayed in “Gods not dead: We the people”.

Actually you are right but not why you think. The change is the growth of or re emergence of home schooling. The pandemic was eye opening to many parents who worked from home or were laid off and then saw and heard their kids distance learning first hand.

I agree. But that has next to nothing to do with what I said, does it.

We send children to public schools to be taught things of educational value like Science, History, Math, and the arts. Not to be indoctrinated with idiocy.

And the proponents of the propaganda want the parents to simply shut up and accept it. Not going to happen.

Somebody tell that walking Brillo pad that she needs to mind her own business. If she actually didn’t believe that people other than educators shouldn’t decide what goes in classrooms, maybe she should shut her giant mouth and stop arguing her retarded book should be content for any school.

This is the same ignoramus who got called out for erroneously claiming that slavery began in America at Jamestown in 1619. By the time the first permanent English settlement in the Americas had been established at Jamestown in 1607, slavery had already existed for centuries and the first African slaves had already been brought to the future U.S. by the Spanish at San Miguel de Gualdape in 1526.

It's little wonder Hannah-Jones doesn't want pesky parents sticking their noses in what their kids are being taught in the schools they help pay for.

I agree that she should not get to decide what to teach her children. If she doesn't trust herself, I don't either.

That is the bottom line here, isn’t it? She thinks that she who wrote a fake history narrative that’s actually anti American propaganda should have the ability to override the opposition of parents and cram her crap down our throats over our objections.

No, we don't want our children taught to hate their government or hate a certain race of people. We have a mixed population and it's hard enough to exist without racial hate. We don't need teachers bring up the past that will perpetuate the hate for both. This new Democratic Party has gone out of their way to try and make it look like everything is natural, we are all the same and we need to except it. Yet they want to teach how one side has constantly trampled down on the other and how the government helped them do it. Up till Obama was elected, Blacks and Whites have never got along better. That was proven when he got elected with more votes than any past President. How Blacks have held every major office in government. These things would have been unheard of 60 years ago. But leave the same Party that says they want to bring us all together, now wants to teach our kids how to hate Whites, our government and tear this country apart with hate.

Agreed, but in a broader sense the bottom line is 1) the Left's belief that it has the right to indoctrinate, not educate, people's children and 2) the arrogant delusion that it is accountable to no one. Another aspect of this is the problem you encounter with much of the federal bureaucracy in Washington - many in our public school systems have forgotten their place. They are public servants who serve us - we don't serve them.

And when you look at the remarkably erroneous narrative masquerading as "history" in the 1619 Project, amongst all the other racially-charged narratives that Leftists are trying to ram down schoolchildren's throats, you have to wonder what other crap is being taught in our schools and how low the standards have become. Are kids being taught that 2+2=5? If not, then why are we teaching them revisionist propaganda that doesn't correspond to historical fact?

That garbage has no more place in our schools than 2+2=5, and the educators who think it does should be fired, just as Terry McAuliffe and his ilk got canned by Virginia voters back in November.

If there's anything good that's come out of the bizarre world we have found ourselves in the past year and a half, it's what it has exposed in the public school system that has been failing our nation's youth for years now. The happy consequence of this is parents and taxpayers are finally reasserting control over our educational system and holding public officials and educators accountable for their mistakes and failures.

This should have happened years ago, but better late than never....

A person can be a huge expert in something, yet have no idea how to teach it, or why.
Schooling is where an adult is paid money to use their time to interfere in the lives of young people usually assembled in groups.
Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn preferred to hop the wag and to go fishing in the Mississippi.
