Only in this case it wasn’t 2 dozen Ravens but a Bakers dozen of Lorikeets https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-05...ets-after-fall-dough-bakery-ipswich/102304214 Hey! This is a top story here! Must admit it is nice to have. “Slow news day” lols! Greedy little beggars had been dining out on the thrown out dough for some times it seems as they were very heavy for lorikeets. Usually you can see these colourful noisy little pranksters in flowering native trees
The birds' coloration is really brilliant! Are flowers in boom, year round, in their habitat? Otherwise, I wonder how they don't stick out, to predators. Or do they just not have many of those?
We thought they were nectar eaters so were often feeding honey and bread but…. https://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/... are mainly seen, found in foliage and blossom. In the native bush they are not so easy to spot
