Franklin Graham to Return to Ukraine to Deliver Easter Message

Graham traveled to the war-torn country last month as his ministries, Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), launched relief efforts to help Ukrainians in need.

In a post on Facebook, Graham announced that his Easter message will air on Fox News on April 17 at 12:00 pm EST.

“My deepest gratitude to my father Billy Graham’s friend, Mr. Rupert Murdoch, who is providing the television air time for this,” Graham wrote. “I hope you’ll mark your calendar and plan to watch as we celebrate the reason for our hope – JESUS IS ALIVE! Remember to pray for the people of Ukraine.”…

This is great. Thanks go out to Franklin Graham for his and his organization and their medical and charitable help for the people of Ukraine. I hope that he’s successful in his appeal for a ceasefire during Holy Week. His message of the Hope we share will be timely there.

 

Thanks go to Fox News for taking Graham’s message of hope for war torn Ukraine to the whole world.

 

Someone needs to remind him that since the beginning of time, with the exceptions of disease and natural causes, more people have died in the name of religion than any other cause...

 

It could be legitimately argued that religion is a communicable, terminal disease...

Its funny... anytime religion is brought up there always has to be someone that makes fun of or disparages those that bring it up.

It's one thing to use science to disprove people's reasoning for thier beliefs. It's quite another to always mock, make fun of, or disparage. All doing so does is make people ignore you. Like they would any other bully.

I think Franklin Graham is trying to "outdo" the Pope here. Keep in mind, Ukraine is a predominantly "Christian" nation, namely Christian Orthodoxy.

 

Bear in mind, during the Civil War, 30 Years War, the Crusades, etc, both sides believed God was on their side. In fact, that has been the argument, "God is on our side" that has started and ended more wars than anything else. And we have not even talked about Confucisim, Tsoism, Buddhism, or any other religion out there.

 

He won't nor can't stop this war. Pope Francis, just a few days ago, condemned the Russian attrocities and called for an end to the war and suffering of innocents. It is no coincidence that Franklin Graham is doing this now.

Let's say what you say is true. I don't know if it is and don't really care. Why? Because two wrongs don't make a right. And I responded to something I did see in THIS thread. The "but they did it too!!" excuse didn't work for my kids. Why do you think it would work with you?

 

Pretty sure you haven't fed millions of people via charitable donations. Something every religion does every single day of the year.

Franklin Graham is not corrupt. He ministers to the needs of people all over the world. His theology is sound and his message is one of uplifting hope.

 

It isn’t a “they did it too” it is why this is occurring. You accused others of being a bully because they have finally started retaliating against the actual bully, hopefully you teach your children better than that.

People have turned against evangelicalism so vocally because it is used as a bad faith weapon to injure people they don’t like or to profiteer. That is why it is mocked and why it will continue to be.
