Freedom Conservatives Will Keep America Great

On July 13, 1787, these lawmakers enacted the Northwest Ordinance.

The measure did far more than just formally establish the Northwest Territory and the process by which the future states of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota came into existence. It also guaranteed religious toleration and the rights of habeas corpus and trial by jury. It forbade excessive fines and cruel or unusual punishment. It recognized fee simple ownership of land, a critical advance for property rights and freedom of contract. And it prohibited slavery within the territory, which helped contain the abhorrent institution’s expansion across the continent.

Daniel Webster famously proclaimed that no single law had “produced effects of a more distinct, marked, and lasting character.” Modern scholars call the Northwest Ordinance a “seminal founding document,” a “bulwark of the republic,” and a “building block of freedom in our country.” It was a quintessentially American achievement, blending lofty appeals to universal ideas with practical rules for governing particular communities.

America is an exceptional nation. We are a great nation because we are a beacon of light to the rest of the world. At least until Jan 20, 2021 anyway. This is a good focus on the effort to Make America Great Again again.

 

American conservatives must stand off for our culture and conserve it and our freedom, rights, and liberty forever against the secular progressive threat to our future. It’s important also to say what it is that we are for and determined to advocate for rather than just opposing them.

The Trump years were a national oasis and refuge from Obama and Hillary and now Biden is reminding us how good we had it when Trump was President. America is an exceptional country now based on founding principles despite Biden, not because of him.

and the FED had to dump trillions and trillions into the economy to keep it afloat "before" covid - there was even talk of NEGATIVE interest rates

the fed doesn't do this during a great economy... that the economy was great pre-covid is one of the biggest lies the Republicans ever told.
