You put that well. De Gaulle wanted to hide the shame of France. This is why Chirac had to eventually apologize because De Gaulle lacked the honesty and integrity to apologize for the disgraceful actions of France.

Well thank-you for showing exactly what I mean. Let's look at this in detail.

French forces surrendered in weeks when invaded by Hitler’s forces. Britain fought Hitler alone, gave a sanctuary to the Free French and De Gaulle and many, many British lives were lost in liberating France.

However, your anti-British sentiment and denial of Britain’s key role in liberating France, perfectly describes what I have said about Gaullism. Britain supported France with its blood after France surrendered in the most cowardly fashion. This debt was repaid by De Gaulle with hostility and hatred.

Of course. That’s what I said. I love France. But I hate French fascists and those French who tolerate it (Gaullists and cowards on the whole). (J'adore la France mais je deteste les fascists francais et les autres francais qui les tolerent). I talked about the type of French people you find in a FN stronghold, and made it clear that this wasn't France as a whole. If you think I hate France you should read the Moliere quote in my signature.

And millions vote for Nazis. Just as they did in 1933 Germany.

Europe has been sliding to the right since the days that Thatcher was screwing up the British ecconomy and selling their infrastructure to her friends.

Now they are circling the toilet bowl.

Time to move back to the left and go back to the days of slightly lower profits for the top earners, but general prosperity for all.

That goes for us in the USA, too.

There is a big difference between "moving to the Right" and fascism. Americans would do well to learn that. Especially American leftists. It is important to tell the qualitative difference between democratic conservatives such as Bush and the fascist rabble that is now emerging in the Tea Party. They are two entirely different kinds of foes. This is the same in Europe. Constitutional conservatives like Sarkozy are one thing, racist, neo-Nazi populists like Marina Le Pen, are quite another. France can't quite see the difference. That is a major problem for France and Europe.

I just thought you where speaking about the election of 2007; at the elections where Jean-Marie Lepen had 17%, it was very exceptional, and, at the second round he had the weak resultat of all the history of the V republic. I don't think it was a success, really...
You can't juge all the French people for 17% of the population.

You see nazi people everywhere... People who vote for FN are extremist, they aren't nazi for the bigest majority.

    There's no any repport
I don't speak English usally, that's totaly a foreing langage for me, if I do a lot of error, that's normal. Don't invent something like that, please... I know the German word, and not the English, it was just a clumsiness.

FN is patriot, we can't deny it.

Collabos aren't patriot, even if they said that they are. Wish that see your country subdued isn't a patriot thing. If they say that they love France, they just lie or they are to stupid for understand what is the patriotism.

Jean-Marie Lepen is pro-Pétain, but not nazi... There's no nazi party in France.

Before the second word war, I don't deny it; there was a lot of people who wasn't tolerant; but after, it was really different.

That's not an excuse, you're right; I just give an explication.

Right, but De Gaulle have make the good choice for the period where he was president. People need to trust in the futur, to trust in their country at this period, it wasen't the good moment for speak about that, De Gaulle was right.
Chirac can speak about it because the hard period was finish.

Only at the end of the second word war...
At the beginning, it was very different.

    I haven't an anti-Bristish sentiment!
I speak avout the beginning of the second word war... It can be a reason why De Gaulle doesn't want see Britain is the UE.

I don't like my compatriot who are facist or who wote for the FN to; but I don't understand why you hate De Gaulle like that... Personnaly, I think he was a great man; I have a big admiration for this man. He have save France's honor during the second word war with the resistance who he have create and he have been an exellent president. It was a really great person, he wasn't perfect, right, but it was a really great person. Sarkozy is Gaullists, and I support Sarkozy.

That's the danger of the democracy...

You think that the truth is less important than a people's pride? That's a very unprincipled and unethical position. Germans faced up to what their country did and emerged much stronger as a result. But France continued with a myth, that somehow they liberated themsleves, that Britain (l'albion perfide) was not really involved (even though on D Day just under half of the troops who landed in Normandy to liberate France were British) and that everyone was in the Resistance (even though we now know that Mitterand the "Vichy-resistant" had close fascist links with Rene Bousquet). The truth is always the best solution.

De Gaulle is intensely disliked in Britain because he was a treacherous friend. Britain sheltered De Gaulle and the Free French, keeping your Croix de Lorraine alive. After the second world war De Gaulle was extremely anti-British and used the old emnity between England and France to his own political advantage. He was a poor friend who bit the hand that fed him. A typical nationalist ready to use anti-English hatred and lies to shore up his own position.

It is the danger of a democracy which doesn't face up to TRUTH. You started by denying that Jean Marie LePen had EVER (jamais...that was what you said, not 2007 but jamais) got the same support as Marina because France doesn't want to believe the truth that five million French people are Nazi scum. You want to pretend that they were tricked into voting FN just as in Vichy the people were tricked into anti-semitism and going along with the regime. But there is no excuse now. There is no Waffen SS or Milice. There is now no excuse. But scum in France, the most filthy rats, "la peste" as Camus rightly called it, are voting for Vichy style Nazis again. Five million rats, now and before.

Then you forget the Paris massacre (it's interesting how you accuse me of inventing things and then when I show you EVIDENCE, even in French so you can clearly understand it, you IGNORE it.)

Papon, a nazi collaborator, was still the leader of the police in 1961, due to the attitude of De Gaulle which, as you have said, did not want to talk about those times. This Gaullism was not only responsible for leaving the murderer in place, but also for hiding the crimes of the murderer once again. The murder of two hundred people in Paris by ex nazi collaborators in 1960 was hidden BY GAULLISTS who preferred to ignore TRUTH so that France could be stronger. This cowardice and dishonesty by Gaullists did not stop in 1945, it went on and on. This only really was acknowledged due to the efforts of the French left FORTY YEARS LATER.

And QUE DE BRASSILACH? Why do you ignore me? This is a man CLEARLY ADMIRED BY THE FN AND BY LE PEN WHO WANTED TO EXTERMINBATE JEWISH CHILDREN. J'ACCUSE! DID YOU READ THE WORDS?

    "NE PAS GARDER LES PETITS"

These are French words, written by a French patriot and fascist.

AGAIN. YOU SEEM TO HAVE MISSED THEM:

    "NE PAS GARDER LES PETITS"

Words written by a man who is widely admired and quoted by senior figures in the FRON NATIONAL.

    "NE PAS GARDER LES PETITS".

As the trains left France full of French citizens being sent to be gassed becaiuse of French anti-semitism.

    "NE PAS GARDER LES PETITS"

But Gaullists would rather forget because itr complicates the renewal of France.

    "NE PAS GARDER LES PETITS"

But Marina is smart, dresses well, and is a PATRIOT

    "NE PAS GARDER LES PETITS"

But we don't want to hear about arabs floating down the Seine in 1961 killed by former nazi collaborators who were still senior policemen

    "NE PAS GARDER LES PETITS"

Don't say it because it is rude and upsetting to remind us that there are five million filthy rats in France

    "DON"T SPARE THE LITTLE ONES"

Why don't you answer those points? En anglais or francais si tu as la capacite.

"DON"T SPARE THE LITTLE ONES" Robert Brassilach Political icon of the "patriotic" Front National when referring to Jews.

    NO PASARAN!

When the truth is dangerous for the country, that's not a big shame to lie, that's good. Everybody lie, and, when this is for a good reason, for your country and not for yourself, that's well. We can't blame the liar in this situation.
You speak about a myth who have been imagined by you; that's totaly wrong; there's no one person today in France who think that it's only the resistants who have save France; and nobady deny that there where some collabos in France.

There wasen't a bad feeling for the British after the word war; it was finish.
In Britain, De Gaulle had some problem for broadcast his message of resistance because that the British doesn't think it was useful; I think it's one of the reason why De Gaulle doesn't like Britain. But we musn't resume this man at that; he was a very good policitian, very clever, a great man.

Jean-Marie Lepen hasen't the same results as his daughter; 17% that's not 18%.
Would you please stop to call the Front National's voter "nazis"? They aren't nazi! If you see their program, they don't speak about "race" of I don't know what. And I repet that Marine Lepen have never say any racist thing. This is an extremist patriot party, not a nazi party.
And the five million of French people who vote for the FN aren't some "rats" some want that the thing change or some other live in dangerous suburb, Marseille's north and are victim of racism for whrite and/or Christian; respect their opinion, please.

De Gaulle had no choice. I just see that France was in a good situation when he was president, so, I've nothing to reproche.
If the country was in a well situation, that's thanks him. Why you forget all the well thing make by this man for speak only about that?

That's Jean-Marie Lepen who have say it; Marine Lepen said that she have applauds her dad only because of the text, who was a poem without any racist thing and that we must separate the art of the person and his politics opinion; I must admit that I'm not OK for that; a collabo stay a collabo; it was an error. I don't understand why they have do it...
I don't know if Marine knows that her dad was reading a collabo's text when she have applauds.
Jean-Marie Lepen have make a lot of shocking thing during the campaign; there where some journalist who think that he want make loose his daughter...

I had ever answer to your thing about 1961, and there's no any repport with our conversation.
