GETTR. Do you use it? Trump may soon join and the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsarno already has.

The new Twitter alternative may be getting alot bigger soon and has more potential than Parler. I'm not a fan of the president of Brazil nor am I interested in seeing Trump tweets again but I do use the social media platform and it's actually not as bad as some people say it is.

I'm sure everyone knows Gettr which launched in July by former Trump advisor Jason Miller. I can't find what the name stands for but a Chineese man who fled his country and came to America I read helped come up with the name and possibly used his former social media platform to help launch Gettr.

I can't find much information on it besides that. When it launched it was said to have been hacked multiple times and plagued with pornography and other problems. The moderation was said to be almost nothing. That is all being fixed. Jason has since removed all of the poem and now has a growing moderation team.

Jason Miller started it up with others in July hoping to attract Trump and his millions of followers. He said he currently has 75 million dollars for the app and GETTR has soared to 2.5 million users. Gettr is a bare bones version of Twitter but with alot more potential than its other conservative alternative Parler. I liked Parler until it was taken offline. When it returned the app would no longer let me back in.

Currently there is no live streaming or private messaging but Jason says those will come hopefully next month. He has a backup in place if the Google apps store removes him and plans to add the Gettr apps store next year so they won't have a setback like Parler did.

Jason said he is close to getting Donald Trump to join and has got several people from other countries to join including the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro who is on there alot. Other big names include 2024 presidential contender Govenor Ron Desantis. If Trump joins Gettr would get a huge boost in membership. Parler also wants Trump but has failed to attract him.

I joined a week ago to follow some conservatives and while I like it I don't honestly care for the weird name. I only am following 5 people right now so my page is not flooded with to many posts. If you are a member feel free to add me on there. Same username as on here.
