I wouldn't doubt it in the least bit! After all they aren't our enemies per Biden. Maybe they should have their arses over there being shot at! It angers me so much that Dems always cut away the only department that functions well, while keeping in tact all their wasteful BS.

I don't know if your old enough to remember this, but I do. It started with Reagan.

"The very idea of U.S.-Russian cooperation on missile defense has its origins in President Ronald Reagan’s offer to share missile defense technology with the Soviet Union.

In 1983, President Reagan revived missile defense research efforts with the vision of rendering nuclear weapons “impotent and obsolete.” His Strategic Defense Initiative spurred research on various missile interceptor technologies. Later, at the October 1986 Reykjavik summit with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, Reagan suggested that both countries abandon “mutual assured destruction” by agreeing to eliminate all offensive ballistic missiles within 10 years while researching and jointly developing strategic missile defenses.

The George W. Bush administration also supported missile defense cooperation. Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Stephen G. Rademaker said in 2004, “We want missile defense cooperation to be an important part of the new relationship the United States and Russia are building for the 21st century.”

I believe you have this confused with the START treaty negotiated by Reagan. The new START treaty was passed through the senate 2010. I'm not sure if this missile defense technology would be part of that treaty. According to the OP, it would give Russia our newest technology on Missile defense

According to Lettow’s well-argued monograph, Reagan never let his mind stray from his ultimate goal of ridding the world of nuclear weapons. SDI was intended as a necessary step forward in order to eventually draw down. “I happen to believe,” wrote Reagan, “that an effective defense weapon could bring closer the day when we could all do away with the nuclear threat.”

Furthermore, Reagan stated: “In my opinion, if a defensive weapon could be found and developed that would reduce the utility of these [missiles] or maybe even make them obsolete… Then [the President] could offer to give that same defensive weapon to [our adversaries] to prove that there was no longer any need for keeping these missiles. Or with that defense, he could then say to them, ‘I am willing to do away with my missiles. You do away with yours.’”

As Lettow puts it, “From the very beginning, Reagan had in mind that SDI would catalyze the elimination of all nuclear weapons, and that sharing a missile defense with the adversaries of the United States would play a role in that process. "

I believe he also nixed our missile defense systems in Europe, the ones meant to protect our allies, to appease the Russians as well.

I was trying to find a link for that and couldn't but I thought I remembered that Reagan thought giving away anti missile technology was a good trade off for getting rid of nuclear weapons.

If it helps conivce them that missile defence is aimed at rogue nations rather than at them it might not be such a bad idea. I believe the last thing Russia would want these days is a war with the US as they have so many other problems and the new world superpower China right on their door step. The days of Russia and America having any good reasons to remain enemies ended with the break up of the USSR.

I know right! What a traitor!

Clearly he wants Al Qaeda to use their massive ballistic missile arsenal against us...
