“They want to pour money into absurdities like the UN green climate fund, borrow from China to fund a global bureaucracy that will hand free money back to China,” he explained. “There’s plenty of money for things like anti-gun regulations, free lawyers for illegal immigrants and something called environmental justice. This whole far-left feast leaves out the reckless taxing and spending spree that Democrats failed to pass last year are are now trying to revive.”

Other GOP lawmakers further sounded the alarm on what Biden’s budget would do to the already dire economic and supply crises...

The Biden regime is trying to spend way too much money. They are going to raise taxes on the kind of people who will simply pass them on to consumers. They are spending way too much money. And it is being wasted on all the wrong priorities. They are going to make the national debt unbearable. Biden’s plan is DOA.

Do you have analysis from the CBO or other independent agency or organization? I know extreme far right opinion tabloids are satisfactory to you but they don’t work for the approximately 30% here that are middle ground or left.

So, the Republicans are against the a $30 billion increase in Defense Budget, an increase in anti trust enforcement, and money to help prevent the next pandemic. It also includes infructure improvements set forth by the infrastructure law,

Leftists spent all last week attacking Rick Scott's tax proposal. Article after coordinated article claimed massive increases for the poor people but didn't explain how. After sifting through enough garbage I finally found what they were referencing. It wasn't some scored official report, it wasn't some 3rd party review, it was a single sentence out of a nearly 100 page presentation Scott had published.

This is not an opinion or a tabloid. It’s a news report from a very good cable and streaming news channel

OANN is only respected among the alternative facts right. In reality, they are literally a right-wing version of Media Matters and the other left-wing pure propaganda outlets.

Manchin is conservative enough that he will never let this one through.

Worse budget ever proposed by a (sleeping) President!

Presidents propose, and then the Congress writes the actual spending plans, and yes, opposition "decries". Trump, for example, asked for $5 trillion, but didn't get it. He collected $3.4T in revenue, and spent over $6 trillion, and ended up with $3+ trillion deficit in 2020.

But competition for government overspending is not in the national interest. Both sides need to stop it.

Interestingly the proposal has lot of money for military and law enforcement, but the funding idea (tax on unrealized capital gains) isn't going to pass Congress.

To which I was pissed with Trump on. He broke a campaign promise on this. So your solution to Trumps raising of the debt is to outspend him?! Continuing to raise the debt is not a very good solution, I must say.

This is crazy spending at this point and I would hope even the most radical left would finally realize that this is insanely unsustainable.... There isn't enough millionaires/billionaires in the world to pay for this kind of radical spending unless this is 100% intentional. /cough, cough Klaus Schwab

Manchin will agree with 80% of the budget. Where he has said no, so far, is the Alt Min Tax proposal. And he has been consistent with that stance throughout his political career I believe.

I find that an amazing thing that the right is now latching onto. Although I agree that their should not be a tax on unrealized “income”, its only making the rounds now because it would now effect the stock market (the real power in America). Where were these guys for the last 100 years when we were all paying a tax on unrealized income in our property taxes ?
