This is just beginning to become obvious to the oblivious as the tip of the iceberg floats into view:

"Mayor Eric Garcetti, [Los Angeles] who is preparing to release his proposed 2020-21 budget next week, has begun looking at the possibility of pay cuts and furloughs for city workers who don’t work in the police and fire departments, one city official said. During his coronavirus briefing Wednesday, the mayor said he and the city’s budget analysts are working to protect as many core services as possible."

“But make no mistake,” he added. “There will be big cuts.”

The safety net and the low level government jobs will hit the chopping block first. The elites will make sure they get theirs.

Without jobs, without production, without consumption, without the private service sector, GOVERNMENT CANNOT EVEN EXIST if it gets bad enough.

Nothing in the entire world is more important than jobs.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, Trump's likely opponent in November's presidential election, said Thursday evening that Trump “kind of punted.”

Trump’s punt to states marks a remarkable retreat from his threat just a day earlier to overrule governors if they refused to reopen their economies at his command.

Nothing in that article was a put down or claiming the President was wrong. Seemed pretty favorable to his plan.

It appears to me like bipartisan support for his plan.
