Anything can be a pollutant including substances like DHMO - Dihydrogen Monoxide

But EPA regulates NOx so each engine/vehicle needs to be tested in order to get certified to be allowed to be sold. And information on those standards is public record. Even to non-citizens like Australians.

So what's the current EPA standard?

    Cute, but ultimately lame.

And technically water is a bigger portion of the atmosphere with a higher forcing factor than CO2.

You have to wonder why all the attention is on CO2 and water isn't even regulated by EPA.

If it was so effective why do may cities around the world ban diesel engines inside city limits?

Everything on the DHMO website is true. You can die of water intoxication. Anything in excess quantity can be a pollutant

I don't care. They're free to do whatever they want. It's their country.

I'm asking specifically about the US. Should be easy for you to find.

Again, beside the point which you seem to make a habit of.

I'm assuming you really don't know until there's some proof you do.

Yes, in fact. We've known how to make vehicles run on hydrogen (as well as most anything else that can be made to both flow and burn) since, like, forever.

I remember seeing 3 or 4 F350's rigged to run on hydrogen at an SAE conference in DC maybe 15 or 16 years ago. Had a few high-pressure carbon fiber tanks in the bed to hold the hydrogen. But due to the fact that hydrogen only has about 10% of the thermal energy of gasoline or diesel, those tanks would have had to be much stronger then what was available at that time so they could hold enough gas to make the truck go anywhere useful.

Maybe somebody's now come up with tanks like that. If so, it's possible you could make useful vehicles that can be used in municipal fleets (ie- buses or garbage trucks) that run limited miles and can be centrally fueled. Heck, we made garbage trucks that ran on landfill gas. Talk about a win-win.

But don't worry about getting there first. This is old news.

Dictionaries define words, not the Environmental Pollution Agency. By real, linguistic terms, substances that harm air, water, etc., are pollutants and a substance that, when inhaled, can cause sickness or death, qualifies.

Sure. If you're looking to obfuscate a lie, anything can become anything.

It's become a progressive political staple. Hide what it is that you really want to do.

They also provide separate definitions for different usages. You're inhaling CO2 right now - you feelin' ok? By the way so did most of what you eat.

Detectors exist and are kept in place for elevated CO2 because of potential dangers. Oxygen can be dangerous, too. Recognizing that carbon dioxide can be harmful is not saying carbon dioxide is always harmful. That it can be a pollutant does not mean every time it is detected it is pollution.

If everything is a pollutant then nothing is.

Are you sure you're not confused with CO? I see plenty of detectors for that and that's actually a pollutant. CO2 is not.

Anything IN EXCESS. Now water can be a pollutant by flooding an area - does not mean I still don’t need to drink it

We are doing it - America can stumble along in our wake held back by “conservatives” determined to exploit the planet and grizzle bout progress toward a greener better future

Yep! America has been telling the rest of the world how great they are for decades now - forgive if some of the rest of us also want a moment in the sunshine
