Irrelevant. I don't even know what the statement was. Who cares? Floyd overdosed. He tried to pass fake money. He downed a bunch of fentanyl.

The jury in the case says different. Their opinion is what matters at this time.

 

I'm glad liberals have the jury to lean on in this time of gloating over Floyd's death.

A jury's decision, while a legal fact, is not a moral fact at all. Slavery was once legal, and when it was legal, it was still immoral. Floyd killed himself.

 

No one is gloating. What a silly statement. Murder is never anything to gloat about. Be honest.

We have to understand that many posters here the ones who claim to not be democrats only watch fake news like CNN and MSNBC. So all they know of George Floyd is that he is a great hard working family man who was probably delivering meals on wheels to crippled kids(Black of course) when the cops decided to murder him.

These people would be ignorant of the fact that he has spent much of his adult life engaging in criminal activity and being arrested 9 times and doing time.

George Floyd Christ like hero and saint! Do not take issue with that using facts it could be called flame baiting!

People who take issue with what others think have issues. Control much? Why do you care what others think of Floyd? Does that scare you?

After watching the first couple days of the trial, it seems to me that most of the jurors, if not all, were already convinced of the culpability of Derek Chauvin in the the death of George Floyd. If Floyd was suffering from a medical emergency, as the defense claimed, the actions of Chauvin and the other officers was even worse than an unintended killing.

 

It seems to me that you are having difficulty coming to grips with the realty that Derek Chauvin was found guilty of murder. Well, it happened. He was found guilty, which was quite obvious to anyone who watched the trial. It had nothing to do with intimidation. That is just another silly right wing spineless narrative. Sane, rational people watched the trial and came to the same conclusion as the jury. You seem to be in the minority on this one.

 

A court of law found something quite different from what you are pretending. It is like this on every issue. Every issue. All the world sees one thing, but American conservatives see something entirely different. It is almost as if y’all lived in an alternate universe with alternate facts and alternate realities. Luckily here in my bright blue oasis the lights are all electric. I hear they use gas in the Conservadome. Just wondering, in your world, am I Oliver?

 

I am very glad that I was born a liberal. Rather proud of it, in fact. One of the reasons, as an adolescent, that I decided that I must be a liberal was because I was smarter than other kids my age and I thought belief in gods and angels was rather absurd. It was a term that kept coming up, something about an ideology based upon the scientific worldview, that the world, the human condition can be made better through scientific understanding and technological development, rather than belief in gods and all that silliness.

It is rather humorous, listening to conservatives hate on liberals, pretending they are better and all. It gets tiring, but at the same time, it is a bit humorous.

There is a term they use in murder cases, depraved indifference. That is what Derek Chauvin is guilty of, depraved indifference. He placed George Floyd in a position that led to Floyd’s death and didn’t care one way or another.
