I had lots of time to think about it, the whole time I was praying to God for the people I was about to kill. Just like in the 911 call, I prayed that I didn't want to do it, except I did it in my head and not over a telephone. This is pretty much the universal response. Not very macho eh?
The idea of having to use a gun is almost as bad as what might happen if I didnt. Nothing macho at all about me.
Not macho, but many people play the internet badass persona. Check out AR15.com for countless examples.
I think anyone with a semblance of understanding would feel very reticent about aiming and pulling the trigger at another human being.
