an interesting entry over on Curry's blog, first impression is it mirrors my own thinking of what do we get for our buck? A decrease of less than 1/10th of a degree a century from now in exchange for rising energy prices and devastating the GDP?

have not had time to read and digest it, just thought I would make a thread and get others opinions. I will comment more sometime today or tomorrow

The Republican leadership has always had a more difficult task in misdirecting their followers than the Democrat leadership - but their masters are the same Elites that sit above our government.

The Dems have it easy - their party is made up of ignorant fools from top-to-bottom - doesn't matter what they throw out there, the average Democrat voter is so ignorant they can be counted on to follow blindly. Seriously, what kind of moron do you have to be to support a 2,000 page law that is sold by saying, "... we have to pass it to see what's in it"?? Wow, just wow, lol...

The Republican Party on the other hand, has a large contingent of informed citizens that are grounded in sound principles, believe in freedom, and are not as easily misled. To get around that, the leadership is forced to "fight the good fight", but ultimately find creative and sometimes embarrassing ways to achieve defeat.

They have to find that balancing act between advancing, or normalizing the collectivist goals of the Establishment, and giving the appearance of fighting for the principles their constituents believe in. It is a tough balancing act. Necessarily, they even have to "win one" here and there... the "1 step back" that is necessary in the "2 steps forward, 1 step back" con game.

Make no mistake, the leadership of the Republican Party are more committed to protecting and advancing their own careers than they are to protecting America and defending truth and freedom; to that end, they are just as committed to doing the bidding of the Establishment as the Democrats are.
