The United States, Russia, and all EU countries with the exception of southern Europe, are consumer societies. As such, for them life means that you must sell fast, consume fast, destroy fast, then turn around fast to sell again. They also managed to convince the world that that is the only way to be decent and to be of real value. The faster the better, including pressurizing children. And sure, this wins wars too. But, what are you apart from being the fastest pusher and sales machine? You are nothing. In contrast, the few South European countries that are always termed the losers, have soul. Culturally, they know what others will never remember, such as for example when you are buying too many Christmas presents and what you show with it instead of your love. There is a reason why southerners were always better in relationships than in making money. Now that the entire EU and the USA forgot everything except money, how fast do you think you can rev as a sales spinner machine, and who do you think will be the survivors?
Well good. Eat your "soul" and your "love" see how long you survive. Labor is Holy, Leisure is a sin.
If you decided to do what I sometimes do --- write some rubbish to see how gullible others are , or you wanted to provoke discussion --- that is fine . But if you are serious , you have problems . Every generalisation is suspect and almost certainly hugely mistaken . You write as though you are young and have travelled little . Either that , or you are disadvantaged -- which means deaf and blind . Plus something else , but I am far too polite to mention it .
I fail to see how southern countries are 'spiritual' societies instead of consumer ones, and this is coming from a southern european guy.
