Here we go again.....

Here we go again with the DB errors and locking out of Political Forum.

Is this forum ever going to get it's (*)(*)(*)(*) together? It would seem not.

I know I've said this before, and been called a liar by some lib for it. But.....I participate on a regular basis in no fewer than eight online forums. This is the only one plagued with so many problems.

 

Yep, it's getting worse again. I logged on for a few minutes on Sunday morning and even though there were only a handful of members online... it still took 10 minutes to load a page. Same thing's happening this morning except it's only taking 2-3 minutes to load a page.

WTF????

 

2 freaking days!!!!!

Back now...still slow.

What happened and what was done to fix it? Bailing wire and duct tape???

 

I was locked out all day yesterday and part of today. Its extremely slow right now. I have to agree - there is no excuse for this at all. Something has to change, and it has to change now.

 

No one made any posts for a 10 hour period that ended about 10 minutes ago. Just look at the new posts to see this.

 

They owe the posters, ESPECIALLY the one who donate routinely, better service than this.

 

Yeah I know, I'm actually glad I didn't miss out on too much and that everyone was suffering like I was!

 

This is intolerable. I'm looking for a new forum.

 

Yep. This has just got to be fixed. Whatever it takes.

Get it working RIGHT and donations will come back too. I may even give.

PF has been my home.

 

Its been a home for most of here. Its sad that the site has become so worn and old and tired that people have either left, or are considering leaving due to the problems we keep experiencing.
I don't want people to leave, but after the past two days, I don't blame them if they do.

 

I've been trying to get on for two days, been getting nothing but database errors...so yeah I'll add my voice to those who wish something could/would be done to fix whatever the issue is that is preventing some of us from getting onto the forum boards here.

 

I agree with you. And I know others do too. Some of us develop an attachment (for lack of a better word) to places like this and get into a comfort zone. When it's gone, it's frustrating.

 

Yeah! We know that we would lose track of some people we have come to really like and admire if we find it necessary to switch sites.

 

That's the spirit Makedde! As a mod, let the owner know how ya feel! Speak to him on our behave!

After Christmas, I had considered donating to this site. But now I'm glad I didn't.
Trinn is right, donations will come if this site gets fixed!

 

If it drives away the racists and fascist asshats, so much the better. If it doesn't, why bother fixing it?

I have been unable to get on for almost two days...this is absurd!

 

I had hoped to comment on yesterdays state of the union but NOooo....the site had to crash, the political site had to crash.

Heaven forbid it would work on a big political day, what being a POLITICAL site and all...

I can give you one. It is not too different from this forum. It has over 2,700 active members. It has a large USA politics subforum + about the largest science subforum I have seen + Social Issues & Current Events sub-forum.

The big difference is that it has been a long time since anyone complained about the poor performance of the forum. Some just complain about everything else.
