I enjoyed debates but found them useless for either party to change their mind. I prefer to correct errors and misstatements by others. Since I'm not bless with an abundance of wisdom, I also will "liberally" source and quote others.

Welcome. JakeStarkey, Today at 11:25 AM "No guest is so welcome in a friend's house that he will not become a nuisance after three days." Plautus Hope it takes me a lot longer then that.
Welcome to the board. I also am a error corrector and misstatement criticizer (albeit as a libertarian leaning conservative). Welcome to the board, and if you ever have any doubts about what you are allowed to post, the rules are on the bottom right of every page.

Some threads can become a bit intense in an election cycle, but we tend to respect each other here so things seldom get too crazy, and a little structured insanity in politics may even represent progress. Our rules work to keep a lid on it.
Hi, carlberky. We spoke earlier, but I didn't see this thread at the time. Really glad to have a "fact-checker" on board. It's good to point out other versions of claims. Now, let's get out there and have some fun!

Now, when this intellectual obscurity reaches a society, this is no longer serious, it is tragic." Frederico Rochaferreira
When a well educated adult finally figures out how little he or she will ever really know the serious learning begins. “ARE economists human?” is not a question that occurs to many practitioners of the dismal science, but it is one that springs to the minds of many non-economists exposed to conventional economic explanations. Economists have typically described the thought processes of homo sapiens as more like that of Star Trek’s Mr Spock—strictly logical, centred on a clearly defined goal and free from the unsteady influences of emotion or irrationality—than the uncertain, error-prone groping with which most of us are familiar. Of course, some human behaviour does fit the rational pattern so beloved of economists. But remember, Mr Spock is a Vulcan, not a human." While at work, it's a small consideration for my co-workers that I have some. My snoring can get loud.
