Most of these kids are already screwed.

My opinion: They were coddled and sheltered from the value of learning to win. Without instilling a desire to win at an early age, kids have no need for discipline and no goals. Competition breeds a desire to improve themselves. They study, work out, train.....whatever it takes to win. Kids nowadays in too many numbers know nothing about competing or training for a challenge such as sports, band, spelling bees, and such. It's not the only reason, but I think it's a big part. Parents aren't teaching their kids to prepare for life. Or maybe, the state isn't teaching kids to prepare for life, since too many parents let the state raise their kids.

Basically IGNORED in the mainstream media, unless a GOP POTUS is elected, then focused on DAILY, with all blame to him/her, of course.

They deserve no such thing. We hope for those things for them, but in the end, they deserve the life and future that they make for themselves, but it is 100% up to them to make it happen. Who is to blame? Their parents, themselves, and the entitlement mindset that permeates young folks these days.

As an example, I was watching an OWS demonstration where a young man was being interviewed about his reason for being there. He said he was lobbying for free rent in an air-conditioned home with free food, medicine and high speed internet for everyone, provided by the government. He said those things are (should be) basic human rights, and should be granted to every person. Amazing.

    Future liberals in training.

Democrats feel that all teens should live a certain amount of time as homeless so they can get a better idea how the welfare system works then when they hit adulthood they will be fully prepared to use the system the left has provided for them.

This training program comes with free voter registration as a democrat also.

As the world becomes smaller and wealth is focused less and less on America, these teens are doomed.

As resources become more scarce, people will care less and less for the plight of the lazy and apathetic.

Statistically we can predict the following.....

About 38% of them are unemployed
1 in 5 will spend at least 1 year in jail at some point in their lives
1 in 12 will not reach the age of 25
8 in 9 will never rise beyond the lowest 40% income level
Just under 50% of the girls will give birth before the age of 20

Of course there is good news mixed in. The current drop out rate is the lowest on record and has more or less showed steady decline for the last 45 years. It is now roughly 1/2 the rate it was in 1970.

Some how youngsters these days are very narrow minded. Everything is just about them and how this culture prevailed, there are lots of reasons for this.

The bottom line is if our youth would be unfocused, disoriented and lack of energy than imagine what would be the future of this country.

We all have to participate in putting back our country and youth on the track.

It is the liberal agenda and ideology that created this monster with their propaganda of dependency, entitlement, and victimhood and the right will be demonized when they attempt to fix it

    big housing will provide jobs as well as housing - so what issues are you referring to;

family friendly laws, what does that mean and how does it help the single person?

I was a homeless teen for about 9 months. For myself - and the folks i surrounded myself with - it meant that we wanted to live life recklessly, hopping from house party to house party, smoking copious amounts of weed, drinking ungodly amounts of alcohol, and other activities that will go untold here.

I wouldnt worry about them, they are having fun. But to answer your question the culprit is liberalism, and all of its tenticles, along with the moral rot it creates on its infected societies.

you were a hedonist, ok, but how about for those that aren't - many just want somewhere to live - what's so wrong with that?

What's wrong is you don't respect the fact that these kids have no desire for any type of responsibility

They want somewhere to live, but at who's expense? Who's natural resources?

As much as you want to idealize the world in some Star Trek place with unlimited resources is simply impossible with current technology.

I want your house and your car and your wife on the weekends. I don't want to pay for any of it or help any keep. So give it to me.

    After all like you said...

    What's wrong with that?
