And Trump worked to bring our boys back home from Afghanistan, Syria and Somolia, much to the dismay of Democrats everywhere.

 

Trump is as clueless about economics as his average Joe-in-the-street supporter is. "Fair trade," what a laugh, that sounds like something Lefties complain about. The only way to deal with China economically was not through trade wars, but through joining a free-trade organization that explicitly excluded China - like the TPP. That would also have given us leverage over them in foreign policy. But know-nothing Trump shot us in the foot right out the gate by rejecting the TPP.

If we are going to get out of the business of meddling with other countries, we need to get serious and get out of those countries and those regions. We need to close bases in the ME and elsewhere, and let regional actors chart whatever path forward they want, without our meddling. If we're lucky, the Chinese will replace us in the ME and they can deal with that whole headache!

Trump had four years to deliver on the promise of bringing the troops back. This is one thing he could do all by himself. And he failed.

 

We only avoided war with Korea because of the intervention of the deep state. Trump by his own actions was setting us direct on a path for war with NK. And his unbelievably stupid coddling of the NK dictator has left us zero room for diplomatic maneuver with that tyrant. Trump has brought war with NK a massive step closer; the people will soon see this for themselves.

Real socialism at the nation state level where production is collectivized doesn't work.

Joe Biden is a lot closer to the political middle in this country than Trump. That's why Joe won.

Democrats are not going to "defund the police," an idea not even popular in minority communities. There won't be reparations, either. There may be some means-tested student debt forgiveness in the context of help for people to get retraining, the way middle-class folks can stay in the middle if they're put out of work.

Democrats are already defunding the police in some cities and releasing criminals in others. Cash bail has already been eliminated in many places. These actions will drive moderates away.

Democrats are in favor of reparations. Hopefully, they won't happen. But they are an extreme position which will drive moderates away.

It is a radical proposal by some Democrats which will drive moderates away. There are more extremists in Democrat Party than in the Republicans. Which way will moderates move?

I don't argue that. I don't argue that we should leave every region on the planet other than North America. But war isn't in their interests and is an awful way to attempt to solve anything.
