A nanny state for the rich is a logical end of capitalism. Money is political power. Of course the corporate and financial elite will influence government policy to benefit themselves.

That is a strange comment to make to someone who hates government overspending. You seem to think government overspending is a partisan thing but we both know that isn't true.

still can't tell us what Bush spent that extra Trillion a year on can you?

if it was spending, then we should be able to list those items and go back to the way it was pre-Bush

NO IT"S NOT.... A nanny state for the rich is a logical end for socialism. The US have had a Socialist Monetary system since 1913, since the inception of the federal reserve, I could insert one of Ron Paul's interviews but he's been saying this for years and few people are listening.

Having worked in a large multinational that was foaming social justice from the mouth, I can testify to how shallow their corporate social responsibility bullshit is.

In a sense this is just an extension of social justice generally. There are a large group of committed believers, but the squeaky wheel gets the grease and those exploiting it for personal reasons get the attention.

Plenty of decent small businesses who do the right thing and treat people as individuals rather than members of some arbitrary group. I work at one now. A telltale sign is that they've always had this policy.
