I would hope that no one would. But, I probably have more faith in my fellow countrymen than I should.
Still, there is a reason why he keeps his GPA a secret. Maybe it is 1.8 and he graduated all by himself midterm. But, the honors society wouldn't give him Summa Cum Laude with such an low score. They eventual relented and gave him Magna Cum Laude as a consolation.
Only one way to find out for sure.

And you went right ahead and did it by doing the same thing with Harvard's honor program.

No, it doesn't. It only makes sense to people who don't know how college works. Even if you graduate mid-semester, the graduating class is still from the entire year and they all walk together.

Latin honors are given out for the entire graduating class, which is a whole academic year.

Harvard always did do things differently.
Did you know that up until 1999 the way they calculated honors made it that as much as 79% of any given class would receive one form of honor?
Even if obama didn't leave midterm, it's easy to see how he got honors with such a low GPA.
