Also, fyi, in Colorado, one does not have to use the USPS. There are ballot drop boxes all over the state. With some of these, you don't even have to get out of your car.

Isn't this exactly what I suggested, do not trust the USPS.

Oh yeah sure they, like a con artist selling snake oil with one hand on your wallet, and the other fondling your girl friend.

They removed signature validations in PA too.

Mail-in voting does work okay in some states, because they have been doing it for a long time. It's these states trying a new mass-mail-in voting for the first time, in this election. How stupid to try a new system in a highly contested election. Especial considering how many states had reject so many ballots in the 2020 primaries.

That isn't making sense. Are you saying that I should not be alone when marking my ballot? That it should only be done with election officials in attendance?

"Gangs controlling areas in cities" has no relevance to voting. Gangs are not in control of polling places, period. You keep posting about these mysterious gangs, which makes me wonder where you're getting your information and why they are trying to instill that particular fear.

How the NY Times views mail in ballots.

Error and Fraud at Issue as Absentee Voting Rises

Yet votes cast by mail are less likely to be counted, more likely to be compromised and more likely to be contested than those cast in a voting booth, statistics show. Election officials reject almost 2 percent of ballots cast by mail, double the rate for in-person voting.

“The more people you force to vote by mail,” Mr. Sancho said, “the more invalid ballots you will generate.”

Election experts say the challenges created by mailed ballots could well affect outcomes this fall and beyond. If the contests next month are close enough to be within what election lawyers call the margin of litigation, the grounds on which they will be fought will not be hanging chads but ballots cast away from the voting booth.

Them not being in control of polling places is exactly my point. They are safe areas and the integrity of your vote is assured. Having a ballot at home is not secure.

Vote in person means vote in private with nobody able to coerce or intimidate you. Thats is not true with a mail in ba!lot and that alone is enough reason to ditch the idea.

How is it not secure to have my ballot at home, where I can vote in privacy? That makes no sense.

How would someone in my household intimidate me? How do I lose privacy by marking my ballot at home? Sorry, but I can't think of a safer place to vote than right here where I'm sitting now.

If someone has some sort of leverage over you, either through blackmail, bribery, physical threats, job security, etc, they can use that leverage to demand to witness that someone votes the way they are ordered to before they drop off their ballot in the mail box. That opportunity does not exist in a secure voting poll where nobody has a chance to see how you vote. You might say that it is impossible to sway so many votes, but if this becomes the norm across the country, politicians and activists will find a way to leverage votes, even if it means paying criminal elements to extort votes from people in their territory, or having corrupt unions demand their employees vote certain ways or lose their jobs, etc. The infrastructure to influence votes will be built with a quickness.

How could they intimidate you in your home? Easy. Tell you if you do not vote a certain way they will kill you or a loved one, and make it worse if you tell the police about it. Happens all the time for other reasons.

For you maybe. There are many many people who don't have that kind of security. You are lucky you are not facing financial problems, addiction, threats of violence, threats of unemployment, etc, that many might face.

Good for you but others may not be so fortunate. Think of an abusive marriage where the wife is beaten routenly. You think she will be allowed to vote in her mail in ballot any differently than her abuser husband tells her to?
