Don't you just love free speech?

Makes it real easy to weed out the wack jobs.

Hey - @Golem, did you ever study up on Fast and Furious yet?

How come the Feds couldn't trace those guns?

Did you know one of the guns the Feds intentionally passed to known criminals was used to murder a border agent?

The Feds couldn't even keep track of a couple dozen firearms that were under their survelance, and yet you think some how they are going to trace a few hundred million guns. Sounds wacky.

You got to be kidding. exactly what sort of crystal ball does the atf have that allows them to track guns they didn't even know existed and had never been in the US.

"Fast and Furious"? As far as I can recall that was in Mexico. We're talking about Central America. You insist that Mexico is in Central America even after I told you that it isn't?

    You need to catch up...

Okay ignoriing the ignorance and demonstration of lack of basic math skills, most of the weapons used by the cartels are select fire AKs that you can't actually buy without a special permit in the US. Do you think the cartels are wanting to buy w gun when they can buy a 100 or more for the same price? At the present time one suspects the cartels are getting almost all of their fire arms from the same government they are getting the supplies to make **** loads of fentanyl.

I have no idea what the cartels want or don't want. The link is in the post you quoted. It contains the numbers. It says 70% of guns come from the U.S. If you wish to rebut those numbers, you're not going to do that by just asking what the cartel's want. You'll need actual numbers and references of your own. Which, of course, you won't show. So writing this response is actually a waste of time. Slow Friday, I guess...

really silly analogy. we tell drivers they cannot do stuff that objectively is harmful or likely to be dangerous t others. Driving is NOT A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT. As you WELL KNOW-all harmful activity one may do with a firearm will lead to criminal and.or civil ramifications. Owning a gun is not objectively harmful
voting for gun rights is not harmful but that is clearly the thing that vexes anti guns enough

the main weaponry of the cartels are automatic weapons. while many may come from the USA, the do not come from private dealers or US citizens. why-because neither has access to modern automatic weapons. Only those dealers with major police and military contracts have that. When the cartels have American made automatic weapons, they are invariably arms diverted from government sources.

I don't think anyone had any idea where most of the guns come from at least not since the cartels became billion dollar enterprises. especially give the amount of fire arms the US and Russia have left indiscriminately laying about the world in the last six decades.

far more police officers die from suicide than being shot by mopes. and mopes taking guns from cops is more common than you think. One case I investigated involved Cincinnati Police Officer Clifford George. Trying to handcuff a guy on PCP or some other narcotic (IIRC) the mope reached back, grabbed George's gun and shot the officer in the throat. later-Gerry Norton, and another officer cornered the guy. Norton sent his dog in-the dog jumped at the mope-the mope shot the dog with George's gun and hit Norton as well. Norton shot the mope at least 6 times (He was good shot-I was in a pistol league with his brother) and Norton's partner flanked the killer and hit him with at least a couple shotgun blasts. But two cincinnati cops were shot with a Police issued revolver.

    For you? Probably not.

Never contradict golem. Often wrong but always certain, he is a legend in his own mind.
